I love when the son reached out when his dad started talking about his brother who passed away, hesitated, and then fully reached across to clasp hands and made direct eye contact to support his dad as he spoke. Beautiful moment.

I kind of understood when she was using her fingers as a demonstration on which she "loves" more. You love your fingers equally the same, because you need all of them, maybe or maybe not at the same time, but they have their uses. But instead of looking at them as uses but more as parts of the person that makes them who they are, the complete hand being them as a whole.

I agree! I think it really depends on the Russian parent cuz I have seen some be really strict raising kids (usually just after they immigrate) and relax and the child gets older or becomes an adult. I’m an older Baby Boomer. In my youth in this country, we moved to our own places when we were in our early twenties. Rents were affordable even to those making small salaries. These days, however, rents are exorbitant. It’s understandable that young adults can’t afford to move away from their parents’ homes.

I’m 28 and still living with my parents. I have severe depression so I’m scared to be alone, since I am suicidal at times. Being with my family has helped me. I’m moving out in 6 months, after I get married and it’s scary.
@shantelevans254

@@CeeradsThank you for understanding. So many people don’t and they can have really negative opinions of adults who live with their parents rn. I had to move back in with my mom because when inflation happened what was barely scrapping by every month even with a 2.5% annual raise, $17.04 pay, a promotion and a boss who kept complaining that the people he was trying to get into our understaffed fedex office store were insane for asking for a starting pay of more than $15. I couldn’t afford to pay rent, buy food, tampons, toilet paper, internet and I was still working 50 hour weeks. I couldn’t take it anymore and my mind just snapped. I ended up having a mental breakdown and ended up in a mental institution because I was suicidal. I would often tell coworkers that I just felt like I wanted to die because I was so tired of struggling. The crazy thing was they agreed. I held onto my apartment with every last shred of my dignity until there was none left and I was told I couldn’t renew my lease and I would have to leave. That’s when I moved in with my mom. I don’t work there anymore. I now make $16/hr and I live with my mom and I can finally laugh and not feel guilty for breathing when I can’t afford it. It’s nice.

There’s a lot of stereotypes of Russians in media, so I think it’s a common misperception. As a Russian, I’m so happy they included a Russian family here! Love to see real representation

It’s hard not knowing how to approach or let know you guy’s without making you feel so bad about yourself. At times we believe that if we just express it it might be changing positively but not often turns out like that.

Foreign mommy is so supportive. She really did go through so much to migrate there. Her kid shouldnt feel a type of way, but Its very important to keep your life existence in mind based on where your parents hopefulness prior. Maybe you didnt want to be born, whatever- I feel that way, but I also understand people are born in different households and have far different perspectives I couldn't fathom. Think about it.

Russian mother seemed to be not the best at first imo but when it came to caring about her kids in general, she was very much there. She even tried to use her fingers to help explain that she cant pick a favorite. Also shoutout to the Mexican son for reaching out to his Dad when he needed it. Go to Mexico w him fr

MOST parents don’t see it as “my children have to do as much as I did and work as much and struggle as much just so I can be proud”… MOST parents are HAPPY with their kids being healthy happy and comfortable.

Rafaella and Jasmine look more like sisters than mother and daughter. They're both stunning too! Speaking of, why would Rafaella have a problem with Jasmine having sex in the house? I never understood why so many parents have a problem with that. Who wouldn't want their kids to do it in a safe and familiar environment? If I was a parent, I'd feel much better about my kids having sex in our house than some place I don't know.

The best series - so happy to have found this. Families don't talk. I remember wishing that, when growing up, we could have some challenging conversations like this as a family without anyone leaving hating each other or feeling unsupported. These are beautiful conversations. I know some families would never be able to have these kind of discussions, and for those kids who have parents that are never going to care for them the way they wish they could -- accept your parents for who they are and find your family in the world. There are a lot of really nice people out there.

Its wild but not necessarily disrespectful. Its about the intention and I don't think that the intention had anything to do with the mom. Probably just the one big bed in the house

Love the Russian mom great personality strong character and she’s just a really loving mother who doesn’t care about status but will willingly fight any battles her daughters are going through that’s the vibe I got from her. The father really reeled me in with his favorite child but also all the emotions he went through with all the questions. And the other mom was just all out unprepared for all of these which made it even funnier when she was shocked

opinions: Russian mother is so open and supportive. Mexican father and his son seem to butt heads, and they just probably need to communicate. And the other Latino (I assume) mother and her daughter seem pretty stable, good bond IDK
