Beautifully profound. It can be so hard for parents to say things like "I'm sorry," or "I'm proud of you." So I'm doing my best to not be like that with my kids.

Amazing story. It goes to show, you never know what someone has or is going through. That level of growth and reconciliation is a beautiful thing.

This was wonderful. I’ve had a strained relationship with my mom for the better part of 20 years now. The moments we get along are always treasured.

This was so beautifully put together! I was getting very emotional throughout because of how you two were able to work through those differences and not just survive alongside each other, but thrive. The ending when your mom said “I’m proud of you” made me bawl in tears because I resonate so heavily with that. Maybe it’s the Asian upbringing where I’m just wanting my blood family to be proud of me for the things that I’ve done. 🥺 Thanks for sharing your amazing story! ❤️

Wow. Thank you Chris for being so, so vulnerable. I have a pretty good relationship with my parents, but what I’m taking away from this video personally is that it’s worth sharing deeply personal stories because people will connect to that.

Chrissss what a beautiful and touching video!! So many children of immigrants can relate to the part where you said your love and respect for your mother began the moment she finally apologized to you. That was profound

Such a sweet story! It's always special when you put Moms in a vid. I recently made a vid on my Mom's 80th bday. Good times. And it's cool seeing a fellow Yay Area content creator. Subbed...
