You totally missed the part when the announcer said Larry came back and his injury was a fractured cheekbone when his face hit the floor - came back out and won the game

The thing that is wrong with today's kids they are caught up with today's game and social media etc I watched games from each Era and saw how they played but people like MJ Larry, Magic, Kareem and more are just a different breeds and they didn't quit

I love Magic and Larry. They're both amazing people. The Celtics and Lakers rivalry was a very racial thing for a lot of people at the time, but Bird and Magic had nothing but love and respect for each other the whole time that they were in the game going all the way back to college. Their rivalry had nothing to do with race whatsoever. It was because they played the same sport and were both incredible at it. They were both ecstatic about each other's existence. They gave each other the challenge that they both needed. It's a perfect encapsulation of how absurd racism is and it gives us some perspective on what we can do about it.
