However her commercial success is a true lost for music lovers She's the last of a dying breed of underground artist. I put her up there with the Incomparable Betty Davis (please look her up if you don't know) You see she mentioned Larry Graham (who played with Betty Davis) and is a legend in his own right

I love this song because she's talking' about the life I lived. I was there apart of the counterculture redefining who we were in our BLACKNUSS being "young , gifted and Black!" We walked the earth without shame fear or apology for our existence. We created, expressed and set a precedence while breaking down barriers and opening doors and making it possible for all the black youth who came through doing what they do and being who they be!
