Q. Why isn’t ‘Off to the Vet’ available in full on KZbin?
A. ‘Off to the Vet’ film production and crowdfunding campaign was a huge undertaking for the Simon’s Cat Team. Our hope is to produce more long form, full colour content for our fans but without having to turn to them through crowdfunding again. The film was completed in 2015 and submitted it to a selection of international film festivals over the following months. During this time it was exclusively available to all funders that contributed via our private production blog. The feedback we have received from our funders has been overwhelming positive and we hope they are extremely proud of making the film a possibility. Q. What software do you use?
A. Simon's Cat is made using Adobe Flash / TV Paint animation software.
Q. Why does it take so long to make each Simon's Cat film?
A. Even though the films are made on computer software, they are still hand-animated in a traditional manner, frame to frame. It usually takes between 12 and 25 drawings to create 1 second of a Simon's Cat film.

Even as I watched this, trying to eat my cereal, one of my cats jumped onto the desk and then began yelling at me to share. When she did not get what she wanted, she began walking back and forth on my lap, rubbing on my bowl until finally her tail got into the milk "accidentally". This new wetting of her tail did not stop her, until she finally was given my bowl in surrender. She decided she did not want any soy milk, and is now rubbing all over my arms and face as I type this. 10/10 for accuracy of feline behaviour.

Brandi Peckham - I sometimes eat with the plate held above my head or well away from my body. I've got the technique nailed. And right now the youngest is competing for keyboard time on my iPad. Sometimes I play recordings of cats meowing from KZbin. It's hysterical to see the 5 cats running around to find the invaders!

Aurora Griffin you know part of the reason why cats do that is too mix their scent with yours. I'm fairly sure they have scent glands on their paws.

Yes, I've heard that, too. There's also glands on the face and chin, too, right, so when they rub you, they are "claiming" you with their scent. ... LOL! I notice, they also like the smell of my shoes - after I take them off. They sniff all over them to smell where I've been -- and well as taking in the smell ... inside. LOL! I wouldn't think that someone's inner shoes would smell that good, but they, especially Mitzie, seems to like them! XD

That's what I thought when I tried giving her a home with more people around. She wouldn't have it. I had to get her, once she was in the door, she was good as gold. Was a Himi, that's the Persian and the Siamese, both are needy! And a pure Siamese never shut up, if you want quiet, and the males can be the spawn of Satin!!!

OMG! "Crazy kitty" is what I call the first bit here. Just this mad dash through the room for no particular reason, then the collapse at the end! Laughing my ass off! The bit with the spider! Back when I was a kid, I was like that with spiders. Got over it since. But this was just so funny to me! After all that, the kitty just swats the spider! Too funny! And the fly!!
