Shepard can give permission to raise salaries on the Citadel, so that the asari and people like her can earn more money. It helps with upgrading your military forces, but it also means she and her daughters got enough money to get to Sanctuary...

To anyone thinking/stating that Banshees are ONLY from Ardat'Yakshis: DNA and gene editing is child's play for the Reapers. Just look at the Collectors (already present in Javik's time), or even the brutes and Rachnis, lots of it there. Bringing up some "dormant genes" or just using a tiny little bit of what's needed to start the process.... easy for them, child's play indeed. I mean... with how old they are and the cumulated knowledge they hold ? So... yeah, what we fear probably happened. And what we fear we did.... we most likely did... Sanctuary is a perfect bait...

They said that only Ardat Yakshi are selected to become Banshees, rather then that only Asari with Ardat Yakshi genes are compatible with the huskification process. My personal interpretation of it is that Asari who are on the AY spectrum are deemed "inferior" to be converted into Reaper ships, but make excellent Husks. Maybe regular Asari make weaker husks then banshees, as they lack the brain frying abilities?

Consider this too after taking down Morinth Shepard: I thought Ardat-Yakshi were extremely rare? Samara: Asari have spread to many worlds, there are remote regions with no government oversight, if I travel to those worlds and they do exist, I will find them.

@@strider117aldo9 Ehm, even in the story of how Joker's sister died at the hands of now PTSD Asari Commando, there was a bit a info. PTSD Commando: "... I had a friend... i wanted to be more than friends but she had a medical condition..." Doctor: "Yes, i know, it was in the file". And there is only one ASARI condition, that we know about, which would prevent this. So there are other Ardat Yakshi... But my guess is, that after Reapers rolled in, as long as they were willing to help, even AY were drafted into war, possibly to go to the most dangerous missions(as a way of getting rid of them by Asari Government). But i still do not understand one thing. Samara said that in the whole Asari-controlled space there were only 3 AY in existence, all three being her daughters. But there was clearly a monastery that was capable of holding dozens if not hundreds of them... Does this means that Samara was not even aware where her daughters were sent? Or, even worse, that she as a Justicar, was so misinformed, that she truly believed it?

She's gotta be misinformed, In any case, Zakera 27 has a Turian Shopkeep mentioning such a monastery ahead "Fine…Asari honey marinade, made at an Ardat-Yakshi monastery by sad tortured blue souls, too sweet for a real connoisseur, but anyone willing to date you will probably be impressed."

They may not have become Banshees, but Cerberus probably tried their best to convert them. Plus I don't think it's that only Ardat Yakshi can become banshees (every other species can get huskified, why would the Asari be any different? It's just a matter of plopping them on a Dragon's Tooth), it's more likely that AY are considered unsuitable to be harvested and turned into Destroyers, and that's why they get Huskified instead.

anyone with dormant ardat yakshi genes gets converted too. Thats how actual ones are made when asari who both have dorment gene's get together.

If I were the reapers, I would be doing my damnest to figure out how to turn them into banshees. They probably at least experimented on the mother and killed the daughters. I didn't approve that loan, but they still probably found a way to get the money.

Asari prefer non-asari partners to father their children. They seem to like humans and turians because our lifespans aren't as short as salarians, but they don't require the commitment marrying a krogan would.

Unfortunately there's a bug related to your question. Somehow, the coding for the Engineering "banter" got mixed up with the coding for "Are you and Ashley good friends?" That causes two problems. First, you can't get the banter at all if Ashley died on Virmire and Kaidan is the survivor. Second, to get the banter, you have to give Ashley the proper gifts in the hospital and/or take her out on a few missions to build up friendship.

I was about to talk about how Turians don't like sending their females to active combat zones because they are too valuable to the Turian military but then I remembered that I as thinking of Turian Biotics and not Turian females. I don't think there is a real reason, I feel like Bioware just didn't think to make many female Turian NPC's.
