Dry your clothes with a Dehumidifier instead of a tumble dryer and save loads of money
Using a dehumidifier to dry your clothes instead of a tumble dryer can save you a significant amount of money in the long run. Tumble dryers are known for being energy-intensive appliances, and they can add a significant amount to your monthly energy bills.
A dehumidifier, on the other hand, uses less energy to remove moisture from the air, and can also be used to dry your clothes. By hanging your clothes near the dehumidifier, the unit will work to remove the moisture from the air and dry your clothes in a more energy-efficient way. Additionally, the dehumidifier can also help to improve indoor air quality by reducing humidity levels, which can prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
Using a dehumidifier to dry clothes can also be more convenient as it does not take up as much space as a tumble dryer, and you can dry your clothes indoors, regardless of the weather outside. This can be especially useful in the winter months when it may not be practical to hang clothes outside to dry.
Overall, using a dehumidifier to dry your clothes can be a great way to save money on energy bills and improve indoor air quality. It is an energy efficient, convenient and can be a cost-effective alternative to a tumble dryer.

Why would you do an extra rinse to dry them more?

Should be 1 extra spin cycle.

Since there is naturally humidity in the air I’m not surprised there was water in the tank. Put your dehumidifier on without the washing and see whether it makes a lot of difference to the actual amount of water collected.

I think the real test would be too leave the clothes to dry without the dehumidifier and see the difference that way

@@FixYourValues indeed. I can see what they are trying to do by blowing a stream of warm air over the clothes like a breeze but does it effectively recreate the warming effect of even weak sunlight? 🤔 I have a pair of these dehumidifiers myself (upstairs / downstairs) as I had the problem of high humidity and they do remove quite a bit of water from the air. Personally I use one of those “Dry Buddi” type heated airers for drying clothes.

Genius! I don't know if the numbers add up to a big saving but full marks for thinking outside of the box!

U need to face it the other way so the dry air goes towards the clothes

Thinking of buying one of these and interested in performance in colder rooms, seems like it did a good job, how cold did that room get over night?

But how much did it cost to run the dehumidifier for the four hours?? I'm also confused as the profile for this youtuber is different to the guy in the video - so this youtuber didn't actually test this item, but took over someone else's footage??

I tried the same positioning with my dehumidifier with bed sheets...nothing, very little water was in the bucket...what am I doing wrong?

In either position you should see see results a few hours in unless other factors are at play like being a small and/or weak dehumidifier, being used in a large area, not having doors and windows closed to maximise efficiency. Personally I find the air coming out as close as possible to the drying clothes the best option, ideally making the clothes move with a light breeze creating the perfect conditions for drying, I move the rack or dehumidifier a few hours in so both sides get equal treatment :D Super non scientific but works best for me.

How many loads of washing do you have to dry to recoup energy costs AND the purchase of a £200 dehumidifier for this to be a money saver?
@FixYourValues

If you have to dry your clothes you have to buy a tumble dryer. Still going to cost you £200. But then you have to include the expensive running costs of that tumble dryer too.
