I remember watching this first time around. It would be nice to see more of Meades on the telly.

He was on quite recently with a programme about Franco.

Not the least of the joys on offer here is Jonathan casually letting slip the word 'obviates' whilst pushing a trolley round the aisles of a B&Q. My favourite English writer, now that Anthony Burgess is no longer with us.

Having a go at Mumford And Sons 20 years before they existed. 😂

What a unique place. So historical. I too hope they survive. So sad that they are always under threat. Good job on filming the real people and places of England.

Wonderful. Only sorry I'm so late to the party.

I got Howard Davidson to send me the music from this episode. Bloody good lad.

Hi, I liked the music too. Do you think you would be able to upload it? Cheers.

@@md-vr8gv I wish I'd seen this comment earlier - I won't, actually. Not because I'm protective but he sent it to a professional account I no longer have access to!

What is happening now at Hill Farm is total disgrace

What is quite apparent now is the better quality of production from when this was made. There is no use of Green Screen, Meades is actually in the places he's talking about. They must have hired a helicopter for the aerial shots too. These things now are frequently filmed against a screen and aerial film would be done with a drone or using stock footage.

Does anyone know the source of the music at 6:00 around Bewdley? Sounds like Vaughan Williams, perhaps, but I'd welcome a definite answer.

Composer 'Howard J Davidson' is credited for this episode. 'sevendaughters', another commenter here, might know if this piece is his.
