Meades is a legend. Hes one of the cleverest men ive ever met read or listened to. Hes the opposite of fake news. Fook nazis german then and u.s. now. Compare and contrast trump with this very British review of the nazis and his similar stalin lecture. Its sickening to see that we dont really learn from history. If you dont agree with his politics you still have to acnowledge meades as a very intelligent man with a certain ammount of style and immpeccable presentation. Id love him to do 20th century or post war berlin. Watching this on my umteenth time thru his series id still like to see the crazyness of praura that holiday concentration camp for 20.000 willing german loons... 2 miles wtf! And the ss s castle is one of historys most evil buildings. I think nazi soviet n korea holiday tours are inhetently shady youre kinda concenting to the regime by participation. Ignore politics. Meades is a gem. I DO like him on religion politics buildings and food. Meades shrine is brilliant in that for years a lot of this stuff was inacessable unless you saw it in the 80s 90s etc and happened to tape it. Definately would have meades on top people youd invite to a dinner party list.

I thought this programme might provide some subtle insight into the darkest period (or one of the darkest periods) in recorded human history. Food critic, Mr Meades states, "(i)f ever we we need a demonstration of why we should never respect ideology or religious dogma - Nazi Germany provides it." He could star in a perpetually ongoing series examining all the flavours of institutionalised human evil, past, present and future, through a restaurant critic's eyes. It has legs.
