Such an amazing talented crew. And, such a remote and wild country and so beautiful. Such life skills for your son, who will undoubtably take over the business one day. What a site-I hope that Idaho does not have landslides!!

This project was certainly a challenge for all of you. It was so amazing to see how you build this log home. I hope you will show us the finished product one day! Your sons are certainly learning the trade and they will always remember the hard work and fun they had. Many thanks, Joas! I could feel the fatigue of the team, rest well.

You probably won’t see the rest of the home because that’s as far as we take it and the homeowner finishes it themselves as they have time.

@Milk4273 жыл бұрын
I enjoy your channel a lot. It’s one of my favorites I subscribe to. I found this one very interesting. Building the log home is an interesting process that is different than a typical house. I’m curious…. Has anyone that you know of ever put a lift (or elevator) in one of your log homes. I love they way they look but stairs can be a challenge for me. Of course I’d have both stairs and a lift. You need stairs for an emergency. Also have you built just a one story house? Most of the ones I’ve seen are two stories. Thanks for the video. PS the Labradoodles are adorable!!!
@MontanaHaven3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle, Thanks for watching! Yes, you can put an elevator in them. We have done that. And yes, we build many one level homes.

Hi there! How you manage the shrinkage of logs when assembled on site? Usually they shrink for year or two. If you use screws, how they behave as anchors inside the wall? Thanks!
@MontanaHaven2 жыл бұрын
We leave settling space above the windows and doors. Our screws are designed to settle around the shaft.

Gorgeous Building, question is there any neighbors near by...? also what is the NAME of the animal running on the side of the road...?
@libertyandjustus82583 жыл бұрын
It is a skunk. They are very cute but can spray a terrible scent as a defense mechanism when they are scared or frightened. The scent does not come off easily when it hits human skin or another animal.
