I fell into these videos at the beginning of quarantine, they have been so encouraging and uplifting. I've been going back to the earlier videos just watching the kids grow up, listening to the stories, traveling with you all and celebrating birthdays, has made this feel like I've met family for the first time. I've enjoyed it all, and each child is a favorite for their individuality. Sarah and Solo thank you so much.

in the Caribbean we have 'pelau' which is similar to your pilau. it's made with meat, rice and some type of bean, and it contains a lot of herbs and spices. We start by browning the meat, and then we add the meat to start cooking and develop some colour, then we add herbs (the BASIC herbs we add are thyme, onions, garlic, chives, flavour peppers and sweet peppers) and let those cook together for about 10 minutes and then we add the rice and let that cook until the rice is cooked. This is a staple in the caribbean and in St. Vincent & the Grenadines which is were i am from, it's what most households have for Saturday lunch. Mine is currently on the stove cooking

A breakfast casserole I made it so many times my family loves it and it's hearty so it fills you up and I see u always have most of the ingredients too. Eggs, shredded cheese, bacon, (bacon bits are good too) all you really need is breakfast sausage cut up into pieces. Get a baking dish cook up the bacon and sausage put in the baking dish, scramble 7 or 8 eggs pour on top of bacon and sausage. Sprinkle shredded cheese and then bake in oven on 350 degrees for a half hour...its so good and filling can be used for either of the 3 meals! I hope you get to read this lol I'll be so excited

To avoid biting into whole dried seasonings...make a ‘bouquet’ of the seasonings by putting them into a disposable paper tea bag or cheese cloth tied with sting. They flavor during the cooking process and then you can fish it out and throw it in the composter

Yes, we ate them like burgers when we were kids. Break up the baked salmon with a fork than add eggs, bell peppers and onions, salt , pepper, etc. Shape into patties than fry in a little oil
@vanessazahel75544 жыл бұрын
We call them fish cakes in my family. I've used tuna, mackeral, and tuna. We prefer the salmon. My recipe is simple: I dump a can in the food processor (drained mostly), egg, salt and pepper, and either flour (I've used all kind of flour including gluten free and almond flour), or breadcrumbs, and process it till it's finely chopped/pureed, and reaches a consistency that can form a ball. I make patties and lightly pan fry them. It's one of our favorites. I've seen someone use tilapia and I want to try that.
