Tips for the spaghetti carbonara : 1) crush or cut the garlic fot better taste 2) mix the cheese and the pepper in eggs , IT blends better with spaghetti 3) wait a little bit before adding the spagetti, the eggs and cheese should make creamy sauce, not scrambled eggs :) :)
@julie5694 жыл бұрын
All of this! Also save a little of the starchy pasta water to add at the end to help the sauce loosen up. Sometimes I add cherry tomatoes & spinach to this dish, although then it’s not a true carbonara.

Canadian fan here! 🇨🇦 I have been using your meal prep ideas for the past few months (I have 4 children). Their Dad is Tanzanian so my kids love many of solo’s dishes. Anyways I was hoping you could do a video on how you organize CHORES for the kids at your house. My four (15,11,10,4) have 2 chores every night and always do the same chores. Rotating seems to get confusing for the little ones. Would love to see how you all organize cleaning tasks for the kids at your home. Thanks!! 😊

Start bacon first. Also save a couple of cups of the hot pasta water. You can add the water to help make a little sauce, and loosen the pasta up. Does take any flavor away.
@emma85474 жыл бұрын
I would try whisking 1/2 -1 cup of the boiling pasta water into the raw eggs before adding the pasta. With that huge volume it will help you make a creamy sauce instead of scrambled eggs :)

Quick easy meal for summer. Hobo stew: Take a hamburger patty, green beans, onion (cubed), potatoes (cubed) and a little chopped or cherry tomato, sprinkle with season all - double wrap each individual persons portion in aluminum foil and throw on the grill or in 375 degree oven for one hour. No pots or pans and absolutely delicious. Learned this when my boys were in cub scouts.

From an italian girl here.. all looks good for the carbonara what I do is add a little cream to the eggs and whisk in three quarters of the cheese in the egg creme mixture with salt black pepper and some chilli flakes then add this to the pasta along with the bacon but keep a little pasta water to add to the pasta to make it a bit creamier not so dry .. top with the remaining cheese ..

I always drain the fat off the bacon and often use milk in the carbonara sauce instead of cream . The tip with the pasta water is good. You could also use strained yoghurt if it is not to tart or soured cream. Nice meal prep Sarah. So great to have your mamma and your grandma is so precious. Just cherish them while they are still with you as I am sure you do. Great meal prep video Sarah. Xxxxxxx Margaret in Cyprus

Try adding scallions, green beans, basil and fresh tomatoes! At 23 I had my own chickens and a garden and a pasta maker. I had raw milk delivered and used the cream off the top. Make 3 per person and lay them on a pan pour green sauce over them cheese and a few diced tomatoes. Warm them until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbly. Plate them with shredded lettuce and a dollop of sour cream. Delicious and your family will be satisfied.
