I have started chopping onions for various meals and leaving them in the fridge. I also cut up my Peppers into both strips and chunks some to be frozen in bags and some in the freezer for easy use. I am a single person so if they are ready to toss into a salad or other meal I find I use them more often

Me too....I also seed and wedge lemons so they will be ready for hot tea... water...seafood.... asparagus...rice....pasta... chicken.. salad dressings...they last for a long time in airtight Mason Jars or airtight zippy bags.

How do you keep your onions from smelling up the fridge? I use yellow onions and my whole fridge smells like onions after I have chopped them.
@amyhenry93153 жыл бұрын
@@BeachLoverCindy I store cut onions in an air tight zippy bag and always have an open box of baking soda in fridge to absorb food odors....some onions have really strong odors so I store them using two zippy bags....one inside the other. Baking soda works like a charm
