I make tuna noodle casserole much like you do, but I use peas instead of corn, and I use wide (Amish) egg noodles in mine. I've had it since the 70s when my mother made it for us. I've always loved it. Your meals are NOT plain fare lol They are home cooked goodness!!! I've been cooking many of the meals you make for decades now. I love some of your twists to meals I've made the same way. My husband and son prefer the basic versions, but I'm a very adventuresome eater and I live for trying new foods and variations, so I appreciate all that you do! I'm from bright sunny, but cold Western NY. It's a toasty 45F (7C) now, but we got down to a lovely 16F (-8C) overnight with the clear skies and full Snow Moon. I got on at about 1:30pm here

My favourite for the week has to be the cottage pie and root veg mash. It looked so good! Less so that tuna pasta bake. Still plucking up courage to try that one. But another great selection for the week and thanks for showing us what you are eating too. I liked the idea of popping a yorkie pud on the side with the sausages as I like toad in the hole, but there's no way hubby will eat it, but adding a pud on the side for me, would be nearly the same. Great video. Thank you!

I’m doing Slimming World too Cheryl! If you like a creamy sauce on pasta I highly recommend using silken tofu with nutritional yeast (nooch!) to make a cheese sauce. The syns are just in the nooch. Hi Cheryl, do you get haggis at the butchers or that Grants stuff in a can? I need to find a haggis I can get as the hospital got theirs in Livingston and I dont know the brand? That works as a mix to show in your meal at times too I thought. 🙂I had premade quiche today and am proud I managed to push aside fears that it wasnt made from scratch and just have it and not skip a meal cos nutrition is needed 🙂

I have some Swede and I want to mash it. I usually leave it whole. I love the sausage with potatoes and gravy. I had fish sticks on a sandwich with cheese and tartar sauce. Chicken Jambalaya looks dreamy. I want to make it. I like adding corn, onion and okra to the tomato sauce. OK, I love your tuna pasta bake and stovetop. I make your cottage pie at least once a month. @@LindaC616From someone who lives in the US where we eat lots of corn,I must say I think Argentina’s sandwich is a weird combination,but I also think the UK jacket potato with cold tuna,and corn is another strange combination.
@LindaC6168 ай бұрын
@JanetBrown-px2jn agreed! Yeah, it made me laugh, because when I first pulled into the country, having a friend from there, I had brought a couple of spice rubs with me because I knew that they ate lots of red meat and pasta, 2 things that I don't need a lot of, for health reasons. The pers9n who picked me up said "no, we're becoming more adventurous in culinary terms." I found exactly one dish that had a condiment that was not salt pepper or oregano; when I finally made it to the nearby Mexican restaurant when it was open, the food was just super salty and bland. They handed me a container of red pepper to add to my food to make it taste something like Mexican food. I could not even find spices in the supermarket. I had to go to the natural foods, herbalist at the front of the store to his little kiosk to see what he had or to an organic food shop. And I learned that their "sense of adventure in culinary terms" came from putting corn on everything. We even went to an Indian restaurant, thinking that I could get something that had some flavor to it and again, all of the food was super salty or had soy sauce on it. Because if they make food spicy, people won't buy it. So they just don't make it. It was a loooing month...
