I arrived here thinking that this would be "old timey Scottish dishes" and I am so happy to see you use something like Cajun seasoning. I love that you are respecting the old recipes but updating how you make and season them tor the 21st century. The roasted potatoes looked better than any restaurant. Every meal from Monday to Saturday looked amazing. Thank you for taking the time to share all of your meals with us.

The great pie debate. My long departed nana (so I don’t argue) always said that ‘shop bought pies’ always had ‘bottoms’. She swore blind that home baked ones didn’t as they contained more meat and didn’t have to be put in a paper packet. Her proviso was that if you were hard up at the end of the week you might have to bottom the pie. I love a top only home made steak and kidney pie.

Hi Cheryl - I hope you’re okay and keeping well and that you’ve had a good week - I was on KZbin watching the home section when you’re notification bell flashed up ~ nurse came in at about 5 pm tonight so I’m really pleased I can settle down and watch your Vlog/video. I just wanted to jump on quickly and say hello. Your recipe on Thursday looked absolutely delicious. and very very tasty - I’m really struggling with my appetite at the moment. I fancy the food but when I get it I leave it - mum has made me a pie today that she brought up. It’s in my little freezer so I’m gonna get that out and have it for lunch tomorrow, with some veggies ~ I just fancy something with a bit of a tang ~ I have a delivery booked for Wednesday so I’m thinking of getting a sweet-and-sour chicken or lemon and herb chicken - I hope you have a great week - sending loads of love and hugs as always ~ Xxx Xxx
