My Mum puts some rind of a parmesan in when she boils the cauliflower soup then fishes it out before blending. It gives it a lovely flavour. One I can recommend trying!

Very easy to make your own garlic bread. Soften butter and add minced garlic, oregano and/or thyme, and Parmesan (or similar hard Italian cheese). Can also add chopped parsley. Spread on bread and broil. When making for a crowd you can spread on a full split loaf of Italian bread or baguette, put it back together, wrap in foil, and pop it in the oven while making dinner. Open and toast it under the broiler at the end.

With lasagne I find if u want to eat them the same day, u cannot slice them they just fall apart. I used to make mine the night before, and let it 'set'. Then I bought a set of mini lasagne fuses in pound land, so now I can have it same eve!

I looked at your meals of the week and I think I will try my hand at making some of them, a Lasagne and garlic bread, chicken parmigiana (with chips, not spaghetti) I took one look at the Spezzatino and immediately got onto google to how I could make that. might get a T-Bone and cook that up along with chips and fried eggs. looks like a few good dinners this week for me, thanks for the inspiration.
