@@emmah1750 You would be right. She did take advantage of Brittany and manipulated her into thinking sleeping with her wasn’t cheating on her boyfriend, because they were both girls. She openly admitted that Brittany was stupid and naive and would believe anything that she said. She said that Brittany was stupid enough to believe that if Santana won Prom Queen, by her royal law, Brittany would have to date her. Oh and in order to win and ti gain more popularity she blackmailed a student with his sexuality, threatening to out him if he didn’t help her :)

That's 2 show i just mentioned that petitions have worked for. Let's not even forget that for The 100 after one of the characters deaths destroyed the fan base completely they began petitioning for the characters return and they ended up getting the character back for the series finale like the fans wanted.

When you realize that the rest of those girls especially Cheryl Blossom are trying to recreate what Santana did on Glee. There was no other bossy dominant aggressive teenage lesbian character before Santana and Naya helped create her. Naya wasn't just a gay for pay actor whose only focus is to get the money like she really pushed Santana to become an iconic lesbian character in one of the most popular TV series to have existed in a big network. I will always be thankful to Naya for that.

Honestly a character being 'mean' doesn't mean shit, what matters is if their actions are understandable. You can dislike an unlikable 'mean' character but still understand why they do what they do. Hell, I think people should learn how to write unlikable yet understandable characters, especially unlikable understandable female characters to challenge their skills as writers.
