Mary. This is very sad but on the brighter side the music and this video show that you have many memories to reflect back on. As a younger adult I can recall three horses, Boots, Sugar, and Rainbird that were significant in my life and then throw in a couple dogs, Easter, and Novi, black labs, so I understand. He was a beautiful companion. My Becky has told me a lot about the horses she grew up with and taught her daughter Tess to ride. Non-human souls leave as large as impression in our lives as any person could, and their passing leaves just as big of a void in our hearts where they once resided. In order to bond with them, they do force us to become the gentler person we know we want to be. And in doing so, become more than what we would have been without they're presence. No animal friend can ever be replaced. All we can do is share our lives with another, and allow them to make sure we stay better people by enriching their lives as well. Thank you for sharing these memories of him with us.

This celebration of Apache is just awesome...You have my condolences on his passing..He looked like quite the ham on the video...and a bit ornery (in a good way) absolutely LOVE this video. when i was little i had a pet cow...lol she'd come to the fence when i was out, lay down so i could climb on her back and walk me around the pasture...(i was about 6 yo) I still remember that so vivid all these many years that have passed....you can never replace a true friend like that. He opened a beer took a sip and leaned against the fence of her corral, to talk to me as I was picking out and trimming her hooves...
