Hah, I thought so. You saved me from googling. Classic movie, 1972 Mean Streets where I first heard the word "Mook" and have been using it since. Keitel was the star, Deniro was just starting. The following year Deniro was in Taxi Driver and Harvey Keitel was basically a nobody in that movie.

Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel's character's watching The Searchers in the movie theater in Mean Streets is a nice tip of the hat from Martin Scorsese to John Ford(one of his biggest directorial influences). Both of them are now legendary filmmakers.

Like the part with the guy playing pool and acting like that nothing is wrong. Also, Martin Scorsese has a unique genius when comes using music in his films to fit scenes and mood, and it dose not come of as a gimmick unlike a lot of filmmakers.

FYI, I spent 4 years as a bouncer in a large bar and all technique goes out the window in a bar fight even if the participants know martial arts. Every Hollywood movie I have ever seen with a bar fight is nothing but ridiculously unrealistic choreography.

@@CaneFu I don't get into fights or nothing but I agree. When I see guys fighting almost always they're wildly swinging their fists like that.
