Every tourist planning a trip to Nice should binge watch your videos. In fact the Nice municipalité should provide links to all your videos as a public service to tourists. Never been to Villeneuve but in my youth stayed at both the London and Paris Ritz and ate at the Savoy.

Thanks again for all the smiles and day out! It's always the highlight of day. I very much enjoined monsieur Escoffier's tale of larceny, seems like he understood that if you're going to make anomelette, you're going to have to break some eggs.

Yes. Having fantastic fries can really make my day. I had them in Quebec once. It's really specially. That night i actually walked up and down the tourist street in Montreal to see if i can find a special restaurant. When i gave up, i just entered the restaurant in front of me. To my surprise, it was actually a special restaurant. It's menu have only one item. Steak and Fries. It was fantastic. After i buy my next EV. Maybe i will go to Montreal for visit.

Fascinating video! It's amazing how much he influenced so many of us who did not know of him. I enjoyed seeing the kitchen. The pressure cooker looked terrifying! The Christmas of 1870 menu is shocking! I would like to know what the diners thought of the meal. Love from Vermont

Tardy to the fan club, I am catching up with these delightful videos and, as a foodie, appreciate this one very much. I had read that the infamous menu Mr Boo translates was created by Chef Choron at the Voison restaurant. Learning that it was actually by Escoffier makes it easier for me to remember and recount. Please pass the digestif. Thank you very much, guys.

One of those times when American english is closer to French!! Frites (fries) in France = French fries in USA = Chips in UK. BUT Chips in France = Potato chips in USA = Crisps in UK. Causes “interesting” meal combinations quite often…..

I'd have to definitely pass on the cat with rat . Though in the 70s, when we used to eat in a Chinese restaurant, it was a standing joke that the chicken dishes contained cat not chicken 🤣🤣. Sometimes you never know what you're being served with. Years ago, I knew a trainee chef and he was sent outside by the head chef to cut some grass to put into the parsley sauce because they'd run out of parsley.......this is a true story
