Ball below your feet, long iron to the green and trying to swing firm, to get there. Like a 4 or 5 iron. Ive hit alot of thin shots or sometimes I pull it because of the big fade its going to produce.

So helpful. I also have a question for you guys, a little different but about golf balls. I've researched a bit and looked at different types of balls (1 piece, 2 piece etc etc) and what they do but it would be great to get your guys expertise on this as well. As a 8ish handicapper I use a 3 piece but is that right ? I think this could be interesting to a number of people 😊 1. What do the different number of pieces do 2. Soft or hard, which one should I choose ? 3. Should I use a certain number of pieces for my handicap (higher less and lower more) 4. Should I stick with one ball type and make or is it okay to change often (a guess is to stick with one brand and type 5. Is there a difference in brands? I see Titleist and Taylor made used on tour but these are the 5 piece and hella expensive (especially for the amount of water here in Florida 🤣) I'm sure there are other things to consider but I do not know.

As a left handed golfer (not that it really matters) The big thing that I struggle with is a severe ball above lie. The courses in my area are all on moutains or foothills so I run into it frequently. It feels closer to a baseball swing and I either pull it hard or mishit over the top. Its just a miserable shot for me
@andrewwolf49634 жыл бұрын
ball below the feet is def the hardest, those ones where you are in a tourney and find your. alll just trickling into a bunker and you end up standing out of the bunker two feet above the ball lol , another one that i find difficult is the full wedge shot when it’s below your feet on a hill.

How would you hit a fairway wood off of an upslope, I assume that you wouldn’t hit it like an iron, would you follow the gradient to sweep the ball off the turf?
@meandmygolf.4 жыл бұрын
Somewhere in between would be a good idea Stuart.
@tacomonsternick4 жыл бұрын
This is the second time you all upload a video with the exact thing I had the most issues with in my last round. The first was chipping around the greens and keeping the club more vertical with the heel up... I tried that yesterday, but I don't practice like at all, so I didn't have much luck in those shots. My main struggle is everything after the tee. Even if I'm in the fairway, my mid-long iron and wood games are atrocious. I'm always topping it, hitting behind the ball, or just making it skid up the fairway about 50 yards. But this video should make a big difference for the course I've been playing recently, for there isn't a single flat spot in any fairway. I've never played on a really well maintained course so I'm incredibly curious to know if I'd do better by default by playing on a course like the Astbury (I didn't know how it was spelled so I spelled it like it sounds when you all say it and ended up with Asprie... I was way off).
@tacomonsternick4 жыл бұрын
Hmm... actually, that "first vid" I mentioned wasn't from you all... it was ChrisRyanGolf who made that video about standing closer to the ball, raising the heel up so it doesn't dig in. I just looked for the vid and couldn't find it on your channel... now I know why!
