Jeff Jesky hey I can't speak for all SOTF tunes, but I can speak for HP Tuners ECM's with CCS tuning, as can 2 other friends of mine with the same. All 3 of us ended up with bricked ECM's due to what HP Tuners is calling a "rare" data error. Hardly rare. We all went to different shops with different techs as well and all had blanked ECM's.

What was the total cost to fully delete? Did you have to send your ecm off?

I was around $10K CAD to get everything done if I remember correctly. I didn't have to have the ECM sent away. Most shops are able to keep stock on HP tuners ECM's post-covid again now

I just bought a 2019 silverado 3500 with the duramax, I've heard shops don't wanna delete trucks anymore because they're getting fined by the state. Don't know if it's really true or not.

@@thetruthyes it is true! I took my 18 Duramax to the shop at the end of last week and they won’t touch it. They told me a shop around this area got popped for almost 300,000 worth of fines for deleting trucks so they are very skeptical about doing it now. Just unfortunate because it’s only a batter of time before the Def fluid screws up your truck and you’re stuck with another 8k dollar bill….
