Dammit, what sucked more about the dog was how the kid tried, tried so hard to protect the dog, but her family just wouldn't give the time of day, wherever Kathy is, hope she can live in peace knowing she at least gave the dog love when no one would. It was so sad in the first one it completely looked like no one cared than she came out with a blanket, she got in trouble and had to go back in and the dogs last words where “I..I’m so cold..” than it went on to reaper, after he said never mind I’m warmer now this blanket really helped! It went back onto him.. he was dead...

Tbh, where I live, we eat the whole shark. There are these little sandsharks which are edible and their meat, fins and whatnot are eaten. I see shark fin harvesting as unfair because you're hacking them off an animal alive and then throwing them back into the water, which itself is already a jerk move because sharks can't swim without their fins and if they can't swim they can't breathe. FFS at least kill the shark or something! Wth people? Shark meat is edible! I'm not encouraging people to hunt more sharks. All I'm saying is that people should learn that there is a right way and a wrong way to hunt something, and sharks are edible (from my experience at least) so just flinging the finless shark back into the water is also a sacrilegious waste of food in my opinion.

In a game that i have,exists a recet called "shark fin soup" but,even in that game,the developers make's you kill completely the shark to *sometimes* get his fin and meat and not only let it suffer,even in videogames people knows and do something that famous dinner's ignore

I agree. That’s how it should always be. If there was no interest in using the whole animal (or most of it at the very least) then the animal shouldn’t be killed. But the thing is… you can’t really use the shark for anything. Fins and teeth would probably be the only things. Because like the comic said: Sharks have a lot of methyl mercury. That’s why I feel that the intentional killing of sharks should be outlawed and enforced. Ban shark fin soup and those “traditional” medicines. *sigh* but that’ll probably be very hard… it can be fought against by cultural tradition and heritage and all that stuff. But I have hope. The crescent moon bears are more or less saved, maybe sharks can be too.

But sadly they are tortured in factories for meat! But if we all eat healthy vegan food, these things will happen, and you can help it happen by being vegan, or ATLEAST trying to reduce you consumption of meat, dairy, and eggs: Calves will stop being killed so humans can take their mothers milk meant for them, the average human lifespan will be increased, much humans will be healthier, animals will be saved, the leading cause of climate change will stop, world hunger will be solved since the all grain used to feed animals in factories for meat will go to starving people and animals instead can eat naturally out in a paddock!

On 2009, I worked on China's long line fishing vessel on South Africa. We specialize on tuna, but sometimes we caught sharks by accident (they ate the bait) and already dead when we pulled up. Then cut the fin (also the head) before we throw back to the water.

I get the fact that shark fin is considered a delicacy in some cultures, but plenty of people eat shark, so it never made any sense to me that people wouldn't take the entire animal rather then just the fins. If you are going to eat something you should have respect for the animal and actually eat it not mutilate it and throw it back to die slowly
