That’s not entirely true of why the colonist rebelled. It’s because they were pillaging burning murdering the Native villages and stealing their land, the proclamation from King George was for the colonist to stop taking land west of the Allegheny Mountains and THAT’s what sparked the war of Independence. History downplayed or whitewashed this critical part element.
@lecaprice25722 ай бұрын
You are correct, but there were a lot of other trade complexities which are too lengthy to go into. There were also wars going on during the colonial period. Some taxes were to pay for the military that protected the colonies; many objected to these taxes. Also many colonial merchants and shipowners objected to trade restrictions and Crown trade monopolies. Also, young men were being Shanghaied into the British Navy; one third died, one third were maimed and one third survived; their families were not happy with this. At the end of the day, King George and his cabinet were inflexible and sabotaged their own best interests. There were faults on both sides. Near the end of the revolutionary war, the senior General negotiating with Benjamin Franklin and his colleagues offered to accede to all their original demands. Benjamin Franklin replied that “it was too late”. How very sad and tragic for well meaning people on both sides !
@danielhutchinson66042 ай бұрын
@@lecaprice2572 We might assume that the Citizens of Iran or Vietnam may have protested the use of their resources as profit producers for consumers of Oil and Minerals? That appears to give a more recent picture of the reality of Colonial exploitation? The Saudi Oil Producers who participated in supporting US Currency by the forced purchase of Treasury Notes, appear to have lost their desire to invest in Western Currency. The Balkans who appear to have begun to notice their Resources being shipped to Western Europe to support their industrial production might be another source of input about the effects of Colonial Exploitation? But the teachings of Moses being used and abused by the Romans after 325 AD appear directed at generating profits from Usury, more than the desire appears to be present in Moslem Regions? We might even suspect one of Moses followers to be somewhat biased? But I have no Turd in my pocket, so saying "we" does appear inappropriate, so I guess I am asking for a Friend?

The problem is there is no community or ‘village’ of ppl looking out for each other. The desire is to move out on your own and get your own place away from home. ‘It takes a village’ isn’t just a saying but a way of remembering a life we once lived, that maybe we long for. We’re set to fail as it stands. You can’t remedy something and expect it to fix the problem. The source no matter how indifferent you are in it’s being a fact, must be dealt with. Unconditional love is an action given with the accepting that a simple ‘thank you’ isn’t even desired but to see the smile and joy on your face is. When one hand washes the others, your hands are always washed! I’d love to talk to Rabbi Simon someday.

Dear Rabbi, I appreciate your messages and words. As a Muslim American, I have been taught in my Lebanese home that true followers of the Jewish faith are those who speak as you do. For your viewers and subscribers, it is important to remember that for centuries, Jewish people, Muslims, and Christians lived harmoniously in Middle Eastern countries, even forming relationships through love and marriage while respecting each other's religious beliefs. We had no issues with one another and if we did we had dialogue. This is who a lot of us are today, just as we were then. Unfortunately, we may not have a strong enough voice, but we are making efforts. We hope and pray that the days when we lived together will resurrect! The government & media today are controlled by groups lacking belief in the creator, in God, and in anything spiritual. Their principles revolve around greed, destruction, money, and power, this is their faith. The conflicts between our people have been fueled by This current order of government it has given itself a name Zionism, they are using Israel, Religion the rewritten words of the creator that they wrote to align with their cause. Like the Rabbi said we need all of your voices to speak out and diffuse ignorance and hatred, always lead with kindness , respect and empathy for all.

I can see that there are different things happening that one cannot understand. I feel there is something in the air. But there is a big problem. Some people don't care. We have been manipulated by our Governments for so long that some people have decided that that is the way life should be. Our Governments have caused us to be traumatised and the TV channels led us to where we are. Who is to blame in all this? Today, we are made to toe the line and then tomorrow we are told of another paradym shift. If people became greedy, it's because they saw the greed in their Governments where they acquired all that was meant for the people for themselves and left the crumbs for the rest of us to fight over. If they themselves were honest, wouldn't they be considerate and show compassion on the people they ruled over? What could we mere mortals do when they had their military to crush us at an instant? I do not feel guilty of anything about my life because I understood the manipulations going on and knew I couldn't change anything. These people in power have always lived luxurious lives while some of us went around like animals looking for what was left. See the devastation they left in third world countries because of their greed. Did they care about those people? If Governments didn't care about the masses they claimed to rule over, who are we, mere mortals who were just trying our best to breathe? I believe that this is also a new form of brainwashing because they elites and the powers that be realised that they have overstepped their bounds, felt guilty, and decided to change the system. It will always be good for the elites no matter what. Passing us through all this stress because we became whatever, is unnecessary. I have never lived a particularly decent good life and why should I care? Many people around me have asked why I even want to know what is going on. They ask me if I do not think it is worrisome knowing all that I know. They say if they know all about what is happening, they will not go to sleep. We have lies, propaganda, misinformation and disinformation everywhere. How does that make anybody to want to change? Weren't we brought up with certain morals? Today, the same powers that taught us those morals say they want to teach us new ones. Everything that is going on today, is so painful because we never bargained for this. This today, is another form of mind control and we are tired of it. It doesn't matter what is shown to us, some people have decided that they do not care and do not want to know. The most that can happen at this point is that some people will die, which is natural and normal. The elites or Governments can't go on to start fake wars, fake lock downs, fake financial collapses and expect us to do anything about it when they know that they have the control of the military to crush us if we disagree with their actions. We are always doomed if we do and doomed if we don't. They have the knife and the meat and should do whatever they want. We are absolutely tired.

I just wanted to say thank you Rabbi Jacobson for posting another inspiring lecture. I found this channel about six months ago and listening to your talks have helped process a lot of what was weighing on my mind. I’ve been tagging you and meaningful life center on my social media posts. Recently it feels like you might be seeing them. I might be crazy but the messages in the contact or lining up in a way that there’s a certain synchronicity to the ideas and the narrative. I feel like I have ideas that need to be put into the world, and for most of my life, I was scared to speak out or be seen.. from looking at my analytics I’m not very seen, but I’m speaking out at least. Who knows will come with time. I have a hope that I can become successful someday as a voice that people actually listen to or consider I see so many beautiful possibilities and I look around and other people seem to want to focus in on the possible doom and gloom. Of course. Yes those are possibilities, but too many don’t understand how much power our free will holds. However, reaction can ripple out exponentially. Just wanted to check in and say thank you because your words have rippled all the way to me in losAngles, and affected me positively. 10 years ago, I was in a very abusive situation where there was no hope of ever being happy, speaking about it got me knocked down sometimes literally and walking away, landed me on the streets. Which actually ended up being more of a learning opportunity than some people could imagine. I navigated my way through, and I have housing at least but still no idea what to do with my life, I am 43 medically, disabled and estranged from family. I had no idea what to for myself or how do you even care about myself but I do care about the world. I care about the future and I have a lot of ideas about that so I’m trying to make some thing of it. I finally have hope. Please keep doing what you do and I will keep occasionally tagging you in on what I do on social media as feedback until specifically asked to stop. 😂 looking forward to see what tomorrow’s subject matter will be. Until then, thank you.
