I can really relate to this time in your life. Our son, 19 as of today, is graduating from college in a couple of weeks. He already has a full time job that he's been working part time at and has been doing lots of traveling with the company already. He is an only child, not because we wanted it that way, it just worked out that way. It is hard as a parent to watch your kid(s) become adults, not because you don't want them to find their own way, but selfishly, we want to keep them around because we love them so much and we don't want to miss out on anything. I remember when he was just learning to crawl, walk, talk, etc. and one of us would be away at work or wherever and would miss one of those events, it was the worst FOMO. Those feelings don't go away because they become adults. We are extremely proud of the man he is becoming, just as I can see you and Keith are proud of the adults your children have become. The empty nest phase of life/marriage might be most difficult in some ways. At least we (hopefully) have the wisdom from life lessons to be able to navigate it. I love the mountain videos just as much as the tropics. The world is such a beautiful place and some of us may never see it first hand but thankfully there are awesome people like you that share them with all of us to enjoy.

My my, seems you two are a tad "lost" in this new kidless life! It will be a transition for sure! So busy and always thinking of the kids, now it is just what to do for the two of you. I'm sure the emotions run all over the place. Cabin is beautiful and boat too, but without any help on the boat, long journeys may be not as comfortable for you unless you get some travel friends. Keep both and do the boating in places of safe shorter travels... Gonna be interesting to watch your life's transition. Appreciate your honest feelings and assessments all the time. Someday the grandkids will start and create a whole new series for your lives. Blessings and prayers to all the Wittikers!

Hi Sailing Zatara! I’m from Rwanda but I study in Europe now. I’ve been watching your videos since the kids were little. I saw you sailing around the world but I never knew that you also live ranch life, it is soo cool. It reminded me of a video game I played called “Red Dead redemption 2”.
