This instructional video was far superior to other measureQuick videos I’ve seen in the past, because while your talking and clicking away, I have no idea what your doing. With this video, your pointing with your fingers and we can see what your doing. I got this kit and put red and blue tape for high and low on the system, and white for OAT and DLT. Great job and better clarity.

Thanks sir . You are well articulated with your presentation , nothing fancy of out of the ordinary language . I am re entering a re-education phase in HVACR field . When I tested for my Universal card years ago I was not educated on the computer for this occupation , not to mention the current tools and work pieces such as FieldPiece where not available at the time . The tools have been so greatly improved. I struggle with the computer concept technology today , I know enough but not efficient on it .

What purpose does the discharge line temp clamp serve? I am about to buy a set of job link probes and want to get everything I need. If I do not get a third hydrometer can I manually input a temp into the field? Can you please make a link to where I can get the tee fitting tools? Thanks.

Can you elaborate on the Appion Fittings you discussed. You said the Tee is used to monitor pressure and add gas to the system but you installed it on the Liquid side of the system. Should the Tee have been installed on the Suction side?

Been an Sman guy for the last 10 years. Haven’t switched yet, haven’t had a need. Just curious, do any of you guys just automatically have a T fitting always attached to you suction probe, so you can just hook up a jug straight through it if needing to charge?

When charging I hook up core depressor tool and then put a spare valve core removal tool on the core depressor. I then put my hose in the valve core removal tool side so I can control the refrigerant and the probe going on the other side of the valve core removal tool.

Quick Question: I've read that you do not want to put your thermometer directly in the supply plenum because you will pick up radiant temperatures from the coil. Does that also apply to the Fieldpiece psychrometers? Should you put the psychrometer in the supply plenum or farther down in a duct? Thank you

How did you get that psychrometer to read outdoor air? Mine only do supply and return

Go to the toolbox and tap the psychrometer you want and map it to the ODA.

How's the battery life and recharge time for all the probes? In a standard day I'm checking anywhere from 4 to 6 systems and sometimes more. About how often will the set need recharging?

Hey Jim, thanks for creating the app however..my fieldpiece quick charge air kit does not seem to work anymore with your app. sometimes it shows all the data, other times(most times) it will not display all the data (example: the app no longer displays SH nor does the virtual gauges work) any thoughts?? and yes I have updated android as well as uninstalled the app and reloaded, thanks for any help.

You need to go to the tool box and map your probes to the specific function.

You need to add a probe to measure outside air temperature or for the short term manually enter it in the outside temperature in the “Outdoor Measurements” section. Tap the sun icon then “Outdoor Measurements”

Does anybody make an app designed for larger commercial process fluid Chillers? Also I think you should have a temperature reading for Hot Gas bypass. I also feel like you should have condenser Inlet temperature and condenser Outlet temperature.

After updating the software on these digital probes and clamps also the psychrometers now half of my instruments won’t Power On any idea how to reset and have these probes power back on tried removing battery’s and still will not power on on just 4 of my 8 probes

I have not updated the software, they’re supposedly is two modes. One where you press and hold and the probes flash, and the other where the green light stays on continuously. The flashing mode is the standard mode. That is the one you should use. As I have not tested this myself it is only hearsay

@@measureQuick I finally kept trying to get the 4 probes that actually said Update Complete but they would Not Power on So I kept holding down after the previous method of remove a battery and push power on and off for 20 seconds then put battery back in and went to app and said Update and pressed the power button turned Blue and Updated all 4 that would Not Power on they Updated and Now all 8 Probes do power on after updating go figure but it's weird if you go to Fieldpiece app still says 3 or 4 probes need updating but Not Updating any more must be a glitch in software or update but I think the Update is only for Logging if not let me know exactly what's in these Updates ?

The update was for data logging, We did not do the firmware for the probes. You would have to contact FP for support on that.

What device are you using? We are hearing about this but it seems to be isolated to Samsung devices, specifically the Fold 3. We are thinking they may be having problems with their OS or hardware as it is not an application specific issue.

@@measureQuick 3 samsung galaxy models before this S22 and my current one which is S21 ultra. My probes worked on my previous comapny's work phone which was an iphone, and didn'tconnect to the personal phone stated above. Now it doesn't connect to my current phone which is the S21ultra. I don't understand how they can only be compatible with IOS devices. Lol don't tell me this is a conspiracy to have more people buy iphones.

99% of the time it is because you are using a BT headset or earbuds. They both are bandwidth hogs and causes throughput issues.

You can't add gas on the high side 😒

I had to go through the video to see what you were referring to. Just to be clear, after servicing a system, if it is in a vacuum, you always add gas to the high side filling the liquid line and the condenser so you do not flood the compressor and or carry out the oil from dilution. Otherwise the port on the high side is used to remove refrigerant from the high side while the equipment is running. As that is a heat pump I am on the true suction so gas can be added in the vapor line when it is running.

Should prolly have them on both sides. I always use a core depressor on the high side to balance the gauges and stop that annoying burst of gas. The problem with these depressors, is the O-ring is constantly falling out
