Both Piccolo and Martian Manhunter can stretch and contort their bodies. They're both aliens who choose to live on earth. They both have heightened senses. They're both used as emotional support to other characters (Gohan for Piccolo, THE WHOLE DAMN LEAGUE for J'on). I totally get why this community battle has been requested.

Can Piccolo change size? I didn't know that. Honestly, this was mostly just in response to the guys saying the only reason the match-up exists is because they're both green. This was just me listing all the similarities I can think of off the top of my head. I agree MM probably has the upper hand.

yes, he grows very large in his fight with Goku at the end of dragonball. and MM has shown he can do it when he was retcon'd as a Martian weapon in the new 52. if I'm not mistaken piccolo can also create duplicates of himself at the expense of power which MM has done to some extent

I would love to see literary characters brought in to Death Battle. I'm sure it would be difficult to pull off in a visual media, but as talented as you guys are, I'm certain you could pull it off. As for who I would like to see appear in said Death Battle, it would be none other than Drizzt Do'Urden from R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms series. And it wouldn't bother me at all to see him go up against Kaladin, as Chad mentioned, or Richard Rahl from The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind.

Martian Manhunter destroys. I'm not one to use power scaling, but Superman himself stated that Martian Manhunter is the most powerful Earth-based superhero. Given that Superman beats Goku and I don't think anyone in their right mind would say Piccolo could take Goku as the series stands now, I think its fair to say that MM>Supes>Goku>Piccolo. Now for the non-power-scaling argument. Martian Manhunter is an immensely strong fighter, on par with or surpassing Superman. He can shapeshift into almost anything, is invulnerable to practically everything, and his only weakness is fire, and even that is only a psychological weakness, i.e. Piccolo couldn't burn him to death. Even then, I don't think Piccolo has any fire abilities, and MM has since gotten over this fear. Not to mention he is an extremely powerful telepath who could likely just delete Piccolo's mind as soon as the fight started, though I don't know much about Piccolo's ability to resist mental attacks.

Nate TSO Piccolo has no fire abilities at all and ki doesn't count since its life energy and resistance to mind reading I haven't really remember seeing him do it since mind readers aren't that common in Db. Other than that I agree that MM has too many abilities to go against Piccolo, his intangibility and shape shifting would give him a huge edge.

MM could shapeshift into one of his-I mean Goku's kids and then hit him square in DEEBZ NUTS! I agree, though, that it would be an unfair fight. The only POSSIBILITY I can think of that MIGHT help Piccolo defend against MM's telepathy is the idea that Piccolo is fused with two other Namekians (Kami and Nail, I think) and if they are in his head it might cause MM an issue. That's a leap, though, as I don't think DBZ or anything since has suggested such. Also, I'm pretty sure MM has taken out big bads without help from other Leaguers (sp?), but Piccolo is relegated to the guy who gets beat to buy time for the big guns to win. DB Super poked fun at it.

Corrin (male) vs Velvet crowe Fire Emblem (series) vs Tales of (series) Both possess supernatural demon/dragon powers. Both basically lost a family member. Corrin his mother: velvet her brother. Both were taken under the from the guys who took their lives away from them. Plus it'll give us two things, a first tales of character and a fire emblem character. Plus they both end up killing the guys who ruined their lives. Both ended up "dying" at some of the game. Both had to battle their own sibling.

Wow... It's amazing how quickly this video goes by... Most podcasts I listen to just drag on and on, but when I've been listening to this one the last few times, it's been pretty awesome to just listen and laugh. Honestly some of your humor isn't the most mature, but it still makes me laugh. Great work guys. As for Piccolo vs Martian Manhunter. Piccolo can read minds, has telepathy and is a very strong opponent. They're abilities are much more similar than you think. Martian Manhunter can shapeshift, but Piccolo can manipulate his size so there would be a good fight there. I don't know who would win in all honesty cause I don't know as much about Martian Manhunter other than what I've seen in him do in the old Justice League cartoons and movies, but even if Piccolo can't beat him, it will at least be a close match... Though I will say that unless Martian Manhunter is strong enough to blow up stars with his power, Piccolo would destroy him... But considering the level that DC characters are usually on, it wouldn't surprise me if Martian Manhunter had some abilities that would knock him down a peg. Ultimately, no matter who wins, I think the fight would be closer than most people think.

Having literary characters in some form of death battle would be great. I got extra excited when Chad brought up Stormlight Archives. If you were to undertake this on top of already having death battle it could be quite straining to resources and scheduling. I could see something of a narrated storyboard for the fights. If appearance isn't nailed down just use silhouettes and angles to make more vague. Wiz and Boomstick could still do the analysis rundown then a narrator could take over when the battle begins.

if you were going to do a show about literary characters it might be a good idea to format it in a way like, which recognizable character does this person/thing stack up to. Do it like a death battle style breakdown of feats and abilities, compare overall power to other characters previously covered or easily recognizable characters and throw in a couple custom animations of abilities and fighting styles if there isn't any animation or art for the character. Great idea if you ask me, leaves good opportunity to link to past videos if a literary character can match up with a character you've covered before and leaves room to create your own animations. Will probably be around 10 minute more in depth breakdowns sort of like a cross between desk of db and db itself. Might be something to consider guys, just have to think of a clever name for it.

Paper Mario can increase his overall durability, deal piercing attacks that ignore defense, deal more status effects than freeze and sleep (burn, confuse, and time stop), obtain immunities to the above status effects, health regen, can float and swim in water despite being made of paper, fly, can counter *direct* attacks if he receives any (can also shock them, making hand-to-hand difficult), cause tremors/earthquakes on the ground, tear dimensions apart to deal massive unblockable damage, and even has an insta-kill move that you can spam. And if you bring in items, he has max healing, auto revivals, a hat that turns him into stone and completely invulnerable to damage, *transparency* of the "you can't hit but can still hit you" kind, reality warping moves that spin the area like a tea cup ride and cause mass dizziness, summon lighting or shooting stars that rain upon the opponent, etc. And if the material thing is an issue, then he can just throw a *Bowling Ball* at him. Dunno what that's exactly made of, but it's obviously tougher than mere plastic.

Justice League because of their way larger numbers and resources Piccolo because while MM outclasses him in raw strength, Piccolo’s healing factor and multi-form technique can let him play a good defensive game if he has to Darkseid if anti-life equation and IG Gauntlet are banned. If not Thanos stomps The Atom in a close fight because he can attain super strength without turning giant and also better fighting skill

I'd love the idea of literary death battles. Perhaps you could reach out to the authors (assuming they're still alive) and ask them for their honest specs of their character you're doing, like how they'd do in a fight, how they'd handle certain hypothetical situations, and such. It also wouldn't need to be combat, either. For example, even though there is some media to them, these two are primarily literary characters, but perhaps have a mystery to solve and maybe see who could solve it first, Sherlock Holmes or Nancy Drew. Furthermore, if you can get in touch with authors, perhaps they can work with an artist or something and help give their character a definitive design, get someone to cosplay in that design, and use that as your primary source for media during the episode. It'd be a good way to help an author promote their work and even give cosplayers some good exposure, too! For animating the fight, maybe some sort of cgi motion capture of the cosplayers or something?
