It's funny how in this game you can take down 100's of NPCs with guns, but 1 lone wolf is what always takes me down in the end

Those things are so annoying. A few days ago my brother went into Ambirino to get the Legendary White Bison. He killed the thing easy, got the pelt and we started heading to the trapper southwest of big valley. But right before we got out of the Grizzlies a pack of like 15+ wolves came out of nowhere. My brother started to run, he shot at them, but his White Arabian proceeded to buck him off from fright like any horse would do with max level bond. And the dumb wolves killed him. He lost the pelt and we never got it back. He was annoyed but I was fuming. Next day I killed the Legendary White Bison as well, and on my way out the SAME THING happened to me at the SAME EXACT SPOT. Instead of stopping and shooting the 15+ wolves I proceeded to run past them while using my semi-auto shotgun. I shot a few while I ran, but after I lost the wolves, my guy John kept looking at where the wolves are and wouldn't turn around, so for about a minute I had to rely on the mini-map not to run into anything. What's weird is I predicted those wolves were gonna come at me and they did. I made it to the trapper and sold the pelt for a pitiful $38.20. And I payed like 3 times that amount for the outfit. I'm pretty sure that part with the wolves is scripted. Needless to say I haven't let wolves kill me anymore as I always keep my Pump-Action Shotgun on me at all times. Since it has the highest damage of any shotgun its the best to use. I even one-shot a Grizzly Bear to head with a Slug from like 100 feet with this gun.

@@evergreengaming2.053 ahhh that's a classic. For what it's worth that pack of wolves will always be there in that exact same location. I think it's like their home or something and can even be ilustrated on the map. They have killed me many times even with me knowing about them since they are at a choke point when trying to access the North. Also the trapper will still have the pelt that your brother lost, so he can atlesat still buy the outfit even if he doesn't get paid for the pelt itself. But yeah that sounds really annoying lol

how the hell does a wolf kill you? I could see a cougar, because sometimes they attack and you cant even see them. But a wolf? many they announce themselves from a hundred yards away. I can kill a pack of them with throwing knives, while on foot.

Lmao on my first (and so far only) playthrough of the game I had the highest honor possible while playing as arthur. Like, it seemed impossible to lower my honor for some reason. Now that I've finished the epilogue, I'm barely keeping my honor above the default honor level lol doesn't help that I've taken to killing random npcs since I haven't got much of anything else to do

Also, annesburg massacre tip: The big red coal company building is the best place to go, it'll funnel everyone into a tight compact space for you to pick off and the entire space itself is just one massive high ground. There's even an office to hide in if you're so inclined

Cool video! I too had a break of sorts and sent Marston around on a killing spree, and yes, Annesburg was impossible! Glad it wasn't just me. I thought I was a pretty good shot. I had trouble in Valentine too, but eventually it was only posses coming from outside in an endless stream that drove me out. :)

@@koreangoku Oh yeah, you leave for a while, and come back after the town is released from the lockdown, and it's business as usual. Some of the NPCs will address you with things like: "You'd better not pull that same shenanigans like last time!" :D
