As I was sitting at the breakfast bar listening to meat loaf like I did almost every day my grandson told me that that fabulous singer and entertainer had died the previous night I was speechless and heartbroken how come so soon but he still lives in our radios and utubes and I play his music constantly A great like Elvis Glen Miller John Lennon and so many before him.This great will be remembered by me for his fantastic music and omg his fantastic enthusiasm when he did his shows and the love he had for his fans and the love his fans had for him Rip meat loaf and definitely rock on

Remembering Meatlof...back in the day I tried numerous times to see him live in Ohio.. late 80's to early 90's...but something seemed to always happen that would cancel the show. Then enter the Polaris Ampitheatre in Columbus Ohio, at that time a rather new venue, when it happened. Let me say, Meat spoke of having a hard time making it happen in Ohio but that tonight he was going to try to make it up. And that he did! He put on a show that was one of the best concerts that I ever been to. RIP Meat!

I don't think I'll be able to listen to "Heaven Can Wait" without crying now. I've always loved the song, but it hits harder now because we'll never see the likes of Meat Loaf again. I'm so glad my parents loved his music. That was my introduction to it. One of my brothers even took a vinyl single of "You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth" to preschool and everyone rocked out to it. When he became a dad to twin boys, the only way to calm the older twin was to sing Meat Loaf's songs.
