My father always had Meatloaf playing. Therefore I grew up with these songs of his. And they became a part of my life. My father had Heaven Can Wait played at his funeral. All of Meats songs stir childhood emotions. Now my kids appreciate Meatloaf and enjoy his music through me. From generations down. Music does this in families. I will miss Meatloaf. I specifically remember the very first time I heard the song. I was around 8 years old. My oldest brother was getting heavily into hard rock and heavy metal music can you put this album on and this was the first song I heard. I was in my room and I heard him playing the song on his record player. I immediately got up and opened his door to his room and I just stood there at the doorway listening to this song. After the song was over we sat on his bed and just listen to the entire album. The song came out in 1977 I probably heard it right around 1983 for the first time has my brother was collecting records and he had just bought this record. It is one of the best albums in history in my books I haven't heard this song and probably two decades and I can still sing a word for word
