You meet Ari walking down the street, you would never think. Don't underestimate any man... He looks so clean cut, but can play so dirty... I like your style Ari, too cool.

I always laugh when people say white dudes cant sing the blues. How could this have sounded any better, he plays it well, sings it well, compliments the original artist(s), I think its fantastic. This comment has nothing to do with racism. We would all like to sound like the original performers. Thankyou Mr. Eisinger for your talent.

I started working on this tune and it occurred to me that the main theme (or riff) is quite similar to "Chump Man Blues" by Blind Blake except Fuller played it out of a C chord form as opposed to Blake's use of dropped-D tuning. Hey, its cool cuz they were both master pickers each in their own way.

Also (and, perhaps, originally) used by Blind Lemon Jefferson in Bad Luck Blues. Something similar is also used in the instrumental sections of William Moore's Midnight Blues.

It's a good lesson but just modulate it to standard tuning to avoid someone having to tune their guitar down for you.
@walterbrancatisano85989 жыл бұрын
actually most of old blues guitarists like BB fuller used to tune their instrument a whole step down to make it more comfortable for their cheap instruments with huge strings often using a capo or not, for instance this song is originally recorded half step low, probably a whole step with a capo on first fret. You can hear that typical clattering sound in many tunes, due to lower tension. So actually, we aren't tune guitars down "for him", but for blind boy fuller, Eisinger could tune it up for us, but I don't want to and above all I can't demand it
