The person who chose the word added to the definition the totally true etymology that it was from the Dutch for "spiral staircase". That one added fact was enough for nobody to pick the correct definition.

I actually had a use for knowing what lentokenttä meant today! My wife is in Finland at the moment and I saw a charge for Lentoasema something or other on our card appear today. I assumed right away that this had something to do with the airport and found out that Lentoasema was a synonym for lentokenttä and defined that the €35 charge was for an airport taxi since that is the flat rate for taxis at Helsinki-Vantaa.
