Many years ago, i grew up without a father, thank you Imperial Japanese navy. At 13 yoa, I was reading an Outdoor Life magazine and found author Jack O'Connor. He became my mentor/foster dad/hunting professor. Steve's mastery of all things hunting and the respect he shows to the animals he hunts and the environment rates right up there with Jack. I expect another young lad growing up as I did, may just adopt Steve as their foster dad. I have read all of Steve's books and watch and re-watch his youtube videos. At the age of 78, I have had the pleasure of reading Robert Ruark, John Jobson, O'Connor and many others. Steve rates right up there with the best of them. I hope to live long enough to enjoy more enlightened and thoroughly entertaining work.

Guys. I hope this format is giving you the money you need. It's awesome your able to provide these shows on KZbin. I love being able to see your episodes free for us, like this. Keep up what I believe is the best hunting programming in the world.

Man, people don't see this side of hunting often. It's so refreshing to see hunters share this same beautiful take on the world and nature. I didn't have a dad like this growing up to teach me these kinds of things but luckily through the Military, good friends, and people like Steven, I've learned just enough to hopefully teach my sons some things someday. Cheers to you Steven.

Those big ol ponderosa are beautiful for sure, but the stuff from the NW is just as good and far more plentiful. The only way anyone*** should be able to harvest one of those monsters is if they do it all by hand, and it goes into a traditional timber framed home that remains in a family trust and can't be sold
