This is by far the best series on KZbin, and one of the best series spanning all the video streaming networks! This series has it all, the camaraderie of brother hood within friends, and new acquaintances brought together by a common passion. It has the investment of showing some one else’s or another region’s culture and the way of life for people for generations, most of the time others from all over would never have such an inside look at the way other regions of the country do things! And last it has the cooking, all of Meat Eater, has cooking of wild game and this is no different, but this gives a look at how to make some of the best meals with minimal but very high quality ingredients. Meals that a region of this great nation have made and thrived on for centuries! This whole series is absolutely outstanding! It’s an honor to watch, and to have Jean Paul share with us the way of life that is very near and dear to him and so many others for generations!

Love this series! The showing of local culture is much sppreciated because most people only know New Orleans and it's not a real representation of who we are or how we live. Jay had me laughing out loud with the cake save - great job and happy belated birthday Daniel. As always with DCD episodes Daniel does an amazing job of capturing the most beautiful moments such as early in this episode of the mass of geese lifting off the water, time lapsed sky/stars moving over the camp. I love Louisiana and i enjoy the cinematography as much as the content. Great job guys - keep it up!

Good stuff. Speck hunting also helping to keep Arkansas going while our ducks stay up north. I appreciate u guys keeping it real.
@bobbycrenshaw51672 жыл бұрын
That’s the truth, Jonathan.👍 In 1991, Louisiana shot 60,000 specks when it was 30/3 for ducks, Arkansas shot 4500. In 2001, Louisiana shot 97,000 specks when it was 60/6 for ducks, Arkansas shot over 40,000….and it was 86/2 for both states on specks compared to 72/2 in ‘91. Now, Louisiana is 4th/5th on speck harvest nationwide, Arkansas is 2nd with California No.1 (looking back before the early 80’s, California/Pacific Flyway always wintered more specks than Central/Mississippi Flyways). Louisiana never had specks until the early 60’s, but for a 5 decade window it enjoyed some of the best speck hunting in America. As Mexico lost specks to California via Pacific Flyway, and lost to Texas via Central Flyway, both Texas and Louisiana are losing their wintering specks to mid latitude states. Kansas winters more specks now than Texas, and Arkansas is holding Louisiana specks for the time being….. Will Arkansas hold their specks with the amount of rice grown? We’ll see. Specks like flooded unharvested corn fields just like mallards, and as mallards no longer winter in Louisiana (especially in NE Louisiana) currently Arkansas doesn’t have that base below just the base above mallard populations to give them opportunities with weather/ moon phase conditions thorought the season. We lost half our duck killers in Louisiana, and the only thing we can count on is teal in September and specks later on……but that too is diminishing. Sorry, divers are not my THANG as we do not have any problems wintering them in great numbers. Sorry for being long winded- not a topic many up North want to hear. Good luck this season, hope you did well with this year’s teal hunting.👍
