I actually thought he got hit a bit low from where I was seeing the bullets hit, and considering how he just stood there instead of running off, I was guessing it was just a wounded elk, but then he just dropped and I saw I was misjudging the point of impact.

Mr Rinella, Remember the day you were standing in the back of the Toyota truck heading up the hill on Molokai when you got that pig? Do you remember the house you passed after turning up off the paved road? I was on that deck and you waved to me. I had no idea who you were then, until I saw the Hawaii episode on tv months later. At the time I thought you were just a tv personality but after years of watching you on KZbin (because of that episode) I can truly say I admire and appreciate the way you represent us hunters to the masses. Wish I could have road up to “green grass” with y’all that day and jumped off to hunt axis before you went down into honuli’wai valley. Would have been a pleasure to meet you.

What I honestly love about hunting is the time spent with my dad who is getting up there in age and now keeps talking about the time he doesn’t have left, and I have all these wonderful moments of just being out in my home of Laramie Wyoming spending time with my pops joking I wouldn’t give anything for that. Yeah getting something is nice, and adrenaline filling, but it’s the time you spend out in the wilderness as our ancestors did, living off the land, now I’m going to be having a kid I’m glad my father showed how so that I can one day do the same with mine🙏
