Eggs Benny on the ice with Hollandaise made from scratch, I might have been drooling at the end of the episode!

I gotta say, I'm super impressed at the cooking skills. To pull off hollandaise from scratch and perfectly poached eggs in the middle of nowhere is no small culinary feat. Good job!

This is awesome! Y'all are lucky you can do this. For us folks down south in the US big holes in the ice aren't legal in a fair number of states, especially in the western half of the country. Check your regs, stay safe, and tight lines!

Lots of them. They book quickly if they are good but pick where you want to go and then find the guide or service you want. All kinds of different levels from getting an ice castle on lake of the woods where you are in luxury or a local guy on a Canadian run and gunning walleye. If you want comfort id take the ice castle but if you want the experience get a local guide and get in the elements.

No because there is no native wild, trout in the lakes so no reason to. I believe they do it to identify natural and stocked fish in waters that has both.

Is there any other for Brookies?.....Trick I been using for 60 years plus....hook the first one, an fight it for as long as your patience allows.....other fish think the one your fighting has something desirable.....and multiple fish will almost always hang around, especially in tannic Brookie lakes....and a tiny Black and White Daredevil.............fire up the barby...

Are there musky and Pike in that same lake as those trout and I’m surprised they don’t eliminate the majority of the trout species
@patrickstar65152 жыл бұрын
It was good, but that ice was so thin you could've broke through anytime.
@christiansmith21043 жыл бұрын
Does anyone know if stocked trout like this tend to stay this shallow all winter? Or do they have an ‘early ice’ vs ‘mid/late winter’ behavior like other species tend to have (such as walleye)?
@benski86103 жыл бұрын
From my experience they like to cruise back and forth during different times of the day. I’ve caught them way shallow then up to 20 ft or so. Depends on the lake.
@oneguyonepole56343 жыл бұрын
Did you start a new channel? Jay I like your content hopefully one day I'll move to Canada.
@Gylldoh3 жыл бұрын
When you’re that shallow, wouldn’t pushing the ice block shallower potentially force a fish into your view?
@ziggyjohnston53023 жыл бұрын
No I'm sorry, the ice block would scare the fish away. Good idea though
