Overall: cool, but gimmicky and doesn’t work the way it’s advertised.

They’re cool when they work. But don’t use them in an oven without a window, or inside of a cast-iron kamado like the Akorn, because they don’t work in faraday cages. The block is also not waterproof, so better hope it doesn’t rain, because if you forget it outside, it becomes an unusable brick. Overall: cool, but gimmicky and doesn’t work the way it’s advertised.
