MeCanik M01 Red Dot Review: Is it the most Bang for the Buck?

I love my Mecanik M01 more than my Holosun 507c. I took my M01 off of my MC9 and put it on my Glock 43x mos and now I’m putting the 43 mos in the safe and MC9 back to EDC. It’s a way better gun. I have over 800 rounds through mine with no issues…. Absolutely love it with the FREEDOMSMITHS TRIGGER…

Man no offense but I clicked this video to watch a review of the MeCanik M01, I stopped watching at 7:10 into the video without seeing anything on the M01, no pictures, no view of the weapon with the mounted optic!! Enough talking!!!

Did you get it? I’m thinking about the same combo. A little worried about Canik with all the TTI issues though.

Thanks for your review, was comparing this to the other ones Canik has, the MO2 and MO3. Not sure which one I'll go with yet. Have you seen the other 2?

I don't think the M03 is released yet. I have not put hands on the m02 yet, but from my research it is a aluminum housing with basic features like manual on and off and brightness. For the price the M01 was a better deal.

@@Everything_Beast Canik has all 3 showing for sale on their website and I have seen someone do a video on the new TTI with the M03 but that's the only one I've seen so far.

I own the m01, m02 and the new m03 and the 03 puts the 01 and 02 to shame…. It’s built better, bigger window, better reticle…. Also if you ever get a rmr or sro you won’t want anything else they are bar none the best… holosun in my option best bang for the buck and also your not just paying for the name on these optics you get what you pay for my friend just like anything else in life. 🙂👍🏼 💥🇺🇸

I've been looking for the M03 without any luck. It looks similar to the sro. I agree with the holosun statement, they do throw in a lot of features in a great package, I just felt for the price the M01 was going for ( a 160 in some places) it was hard to beat. I'm sure the Trijicon would be awesome would be awesome, but I juts can't bring myself to pay the price they're asking. I was looking at a used rmr when I bought my holosun, and comparing the 507 and the rmr next to each other on the counter, I went with the 507 due the price. They were still asking over 350 for the rmr used, and the 507 just seemed like a better bang for the buck. Thank you for the feedback.

Great review, Thank you for sharing. I recently purchased an SFx Rival and got a Vortex Venom for it. The elevation bottomed out on me (apparently its a thing and Vortex suggest a $20 shim). Yeah, no thanks. I ended up returning it and got a Burris FF3, much better IMO. I am going to purchase a TP9 Elite SC soon and seen it is a micro footprint. I wasn't sure how well these MO1's were, but sounds like they are great for the price range. I think I will be getting one of those, Thank you! BTW, How awesome does that Rival shoot?!? I LOVE mine, but need something smaller for EDC :D

I have got a chance to shoot my Rival yet. I actually just traded it in for a Rival S. The Mecanik M03 is about to be released. You might check that one out. I'm sure the price will be around the M01, which is at 160 on Amazon.

Have the M01 on my Mete SFX for a year now and well over 5k rounds. Have had no problems with it. Decided to try it because it mounts direct to the slide with no plate so I can have backup iron sights. Honestly, I'm a Holosun fan, but you can't go wrong for the price of the M01

Look at the title of your review. I'm sorry, but I watched for 4 minutes and you hadn't started yet. There is SO MUCH content out there. With so many viewing choices, you need to think about first impressions if you expect people to subscribe and come back. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
