A new era begins for trails with the V-Strom 800DE. Among its main advantages, the V-Strom 800DE has the largest suspension travel and the highest ground clearance in the V-Strom family, a 21-inch front wheel, an inverted front fork and a TFT LCD display. color. All state-of-the-art electronics are integrated with drive mode selection, traction control with special off-road Gravel mode, deactivatable rear ABS and Up&Down shifter
V-Strom 800DE stays true to the V-Strom heritage and Suzuki philosophy. Its design presents the latest evolution in the shape of a “beak” which has been the signature of the range since 1988 and the DR-Z 800.
The two hexagonal LED lights use a powerful mono-focus light source. In terms of design, the vertical orientation of the assembly creates a sharp look with the Suzuki identity. Compact position lights, turn signals and LED rear light ensure good visibility.
Suzuki designed an all-new 776cc parallel-twin engine. Its design is compact in order to optimize the weight distribution and geometry of the chassis, as well as the position of the pilot in all circumstances. Its characteristics offer a nice balance between controllable power in the low revs, and nice sensations up to the high revs. Above all, it demonstrates optimal performance at very low speeds, making the
V-Strom 800DE easy to control on forest roads and trails.
The new engine is equipped with the Suzuki Cross Balancer. The patented biaxial camshaft positions its two camshafts at 90° to the crankshaft, marking a first among production motorcycles.
ELECTRONICS FOR ALL CONDITIONS
Suzuki Intelligent Ride System features help make the V-Strom 800DE more controllable and predictable, even when riding long distances and going off-road to explore trails.
SIRS includes Drive Mode Selection, Traction Control with Gravel Mode, Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, Up&Down Shifter, Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist.
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector:
The SDMS optimizes the electronic throttle control system by offering a choice of three modes that deliver different power characteristics.
Suzuki Traction Control System: The rider can choose from 3 traction control modes for the road, a G mode for off-road or deactivate it. From mode 1 to mode 3, the system is more and more intrusive.
With the Gravel mode, the pilot has an option specially designed for off-road.
The Up&Down shifter
Suzuki Easy Start System: This system allows the rider to start the motorcycle by simply pressing the starter button. It is not necessary to operate the clutch lever when the transmission is in neutral.
Low RPM Assist: The low rpm assistance function
