it kind of is- the song is about a romeo and juliet situation with two people, members of different gypsy families. the woman prays to the moon to let her be w the man and the moon tells her only if she can make the sacrifice of her first born. She says yes but it’s a test because she can not truly love if she is willing to give up her first born

@@ainsleytriesnewthings Not completely true. Though the story speaks about sacrificing a child to the moon, you haven't told all the story: a gypsy woman wants to marry a gypsy man. She prays to the moon to achieve this and the moon asks her to give her their first child. The gypsy accepts and so, the two gypsies get married and have a child, but this one is so pale that the husband thinks his wife has cheated on him. He kills her and abandons the child, who is raised by the moon. That's the full version; the thing about the test is not exactly a test but a thought or demonstration; the moon is completely conscious that the gypsy woman doesn't know what's to love a child as much as she (the Moon) knows. No Romeo and Juliet situation is named in the song. It could just be a woman who's love wasn't accepted.
