Mechabellum - Blue Green Colour Blind?

I'm drn and this is our first game in this week's tournament, here we face Zeefisch. They've started with quite the statement taking turn 1 Assault Marksmen! Will it work out for them, or will the game be ours? And where does colour-blindness fit in all this?!

Thanks Craiggles! Afraid I feel I should to disabuse you of the notion that I'm one of the big boys :D I'm decent but there's a whole tier of players who can comfortably beat me where I'll only take an occasional game off them in return, anyone 2k+ MMR will mop the floor with me! It's the difference between Casual > Amateur > Semi-Pro > Pro. I've solid fundamentals and am decent at explaining my line of reasoning but there are far better players than me!

We had a lucky start and he never really found his footing, felt a bit rough. The closing Anti-Air Marksmen was just the nail on the coffin for his game here. Hopefully he had an easier game 2!

DRN, zeefish and the_full_m are my brothers. I'm jezza_tequila. We always try to stay hydrated during tournament play. We got that advice from a very polite and talented mechabellum player! Keep up the good work on the videos my man! 👍

Hey thanks, that's awesome! Called out you guys as names I recognised while we were loading! Haha it's so important to look after ourselves, I have a bad habit of getting super absorbed into games and forgetting to hydrate so reminding others is also me reminding myself. Feel bad for beating your brother while critiquing his choices, was the first round of a tournament so he's just unlucky he was matched up with me this early. Hope you all have a blast in the tournament anyway and zeefisch had an easier opponent the game after this!

Those first rounds where brutal. Missile to get to the elite marksman just to get all attackers distracted/killed juuust before touching him 😬

Yeah, I'm used to early missile plays winning round but that Level 3 Marksmen decided he wasn't having any of it!

Even if he was blue/green colorblind there is still an intensity difference that should be visible. Those shields have a different brightness around the edges.

Yeah, in reflection it was a pretty silly idea! Was just confused why they were throwing missiles into shields that were already visible to them and the idea of somehow not being able to see those shields clearly popped into my head.

Yeah, not sure why they were positioned so far back if they're going to have R1 Assault mode. Feel his whole mindset was for aggro but he positioned for standard and it didn't mesh well.

Thanks! Yeah, think we just smoothly out curved our opponent early and the got a bit lucky with the closer knowing he was Aerial Spec with the extra sniper pressure.
