Yes! The prodigal son returns! A Bearlike win after vacation, well done 👍

Haha, cheers dude! Was glad to get this one on camera. Commentry wasn't quite on point and my voice wasn't great but had to edit it cause it's Bearlike, you know? :D

The hero melting points constantly being the second choice every round until the cards shoved them into your face. :D

Editing DRN was pulling his hair out from how often he heard me say "We need a Melting Point!" and then never buying one :D
@olegoleg2582 ай бұрын
It also reminds me of the match where he desperately needed chaff clear and instead bought himself up to 6 melting points

I love that despite complaining that the vulc is overtuned, you ended up winning with forts vs vulcan anyway, just like bearlike suggested
@tann3r23_2 ай бұрын
Bearlike threw the match just to prove his point about Vulcans having a lower win rate 😂

He gave us the keys to the castle for sure! Felt like he went a little easy on us by not extending his lead with the Phoenixes and took a very unconventional approach with Link-tanks. And he still almost got us :D was a fun game.

That big Vulcan was a nightmare.

Your telling me! Watching it vaporize a level 2 Fort WITH ARMOR was devastating.

Was faaaaar too close tho :D Suspect Link-Tanks aren't terrible so long as all you need to do to win is secure a single round. Thankfully we survived the alpha strike!

Welcome back! I love the last round uno reverse card plays

:D Always remember you only need to win one round all game to win the whole game, the last one! Even if it feels like you're struggling you're always still in it to win it.

I am a big melting point fan. Seeing them be clutch for the final round was a real treat.
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Yeah, I like where they've gone with them, re-affirming their identity as a top end "if you just need to kill one big thing, pick Melter!" by trading some of it's survivability back into damage two patches ago.

Didnt know what i missed more, the level voice mid-match commentary or the editors foresight driven madness watching what they know will unfold. Happy to have you back! For the match, you were talking about Melting points for a minute, i wasnt sure if you were waiting for it on the cards or just ended up fixing small problems until you were too broke to afford them. They didn't make the difference, they made the match. absolutely shattered that front line and with the EMP able to reach the Vulcans, they also were purged by holy laser. You were talking about Sledgehammer carry and for a moment i honestly thought that they were going to close out the match on you until i saw the exact reason why you dont bring linked tanks 😅 "As the battle was fought, wave after wave, the un-phased hero Vulcan pushed through time and time again, snipers unable to find their mark through the wave tactics of nano-repaired tanks absorbing what should have been an earthshattering weight of fire, Shields breaking, armor melting, all seemed lost. With the late arrival of the much needed Melting Points, the resolve of frontline renewed and held against the storm of fire and lead. What was the strength of the tanks became their weakness and without them, the hero Vulcan did not stand a chance." Wishing you the best of luck and all the Sledgehammers!

Haha yeah Editing DRN was pulling his hair out at the lack of Melters despite talking about them for round after round! :D It's good to be back, thanks for the support and the warm welcome!

Haha, don't worry I still enjoy the game! Life's been a bit complex for a while trying to juggle everything and sometimes we have to prioritise things. Hope you're enjoying the game and we get to meet in a tourney sometime!
@WerdnaTheRed2 ай бұрын
Well I was wondering why you were so amused by the life link field maintenance tanks, as they seemed to hold their namesake purpose incredibly well. But then the melting points got 'em, haha The Vulcans may have been overtuned, but you certainly knew how to play with that in mind. Very amused by "the light at the end of the tunnel was fire"
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Ah, sorry I should've explained better at the time. Lifelink tanks are very... "niche" you need your opponent to never get a beam weapon locked onto them for them to remain immortal. If they buy Melters or Steelballs and get a lock onto one of the tanks, the whole chain is at risk of a spectacular chain demise :D Needless to say this tech is rarely taken at the top table games, so I suspect Bearlike was generously giving us a chance to get back into the game after his brutal Level 3 Vulcan with damage item.
@WerdnaTheRed2 ай бұрын
@@Drone_101 Rewatching the last round or so, it looks like the damage is divided evenly by the number of tanks, yeah? The level three tanks survived the destruction of the greater chain, at least. I wonder if there would be strategies to mitigate this (beam weapons working as well as on giant units) by having weaker tanks get hit first. Or acting as firebreaks between tank groups The range for the linking seems pretty low, could it be reasonable to have a set of sledgehammers placed far forward such that the squad is weakened already when the rest link up?
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
@@WerdnaTheRed In theory the firebreaks might work but I suspect it'd be hard to make it reliable or particularly practical. A Melting Point will burn through level 3 linked tanks pretty much as quickly as it'll burn through level 5 linked tanks, even after the chain is broken just with the way the damage ramps up. Yes, stopping and starting the beam will slow it down, but the damage is done when you lose half the tanks and their chaff clear potential unless you can punish the MP during the small window you've bought yourself.
