My dad had a lot these same issues with his 2014 traverse until one day the engine finally blew up. Instead of doing the logical thing and buying a new car , he takes it to my schools auto tech lab to get it fixed and his repair costs were over 20000 dollars. The fact that I had to tow his car there with my own truck that has its own set of issues cause it’s old should tell you something.

Fyi the chocolate pudding thick crap thats coming out of the motor is where water and oil mix. Can also happen in the radiator and can cause high temp issues and interior damage to the compartments

Sometimes some two different devices in cars share a common ground and when the phases short out somehow (a broken switch or sth) it sends voltage to other motor or light that shared a ground with the thing you tried turning on and so thats how you get a light or windshield turn on when you try to turn on a turn signal or sth like that.
