Our 2011 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 4WD pickup has custom 2 tone paint (silver over red metallic), custom upholstery, wheels, spray in bed liner, rear air shocks, running boards, pinstripes, K&N intake, 3” FlowMaster exhaust, 4.0L V6, 5spd automatic transmission, limited slip differential, tow pkg. We mainly use it for work around our property. We drive only about 3K miles per year so I change the oil every 6 months (1,500 miles). The front and rear differential, transfer case and transmission fluid changed every 30K miles on all 3 of our vehicles. New antifreeze, belts and hoses are changed every 5 years. We currently have only 36K miles on the truck. To replace it today would set us back around $55K, so we’ll keep driving it until we can no longer drive or we die. It still looks showroom new. This is our 4th Ranger and they have proven to be reliable small pickups since they first came out in the 80s. I’m glad it’s a naturally aspirated engine w/out a turbo. Before I added the intake and exhaust I was getting 19mpg with the cruise set on 75mph. I now get 23mpg. Before adding the rear air shocks I could only get 1/2, a yard of topsoil in the bed and now I can haul just over a full yard. I have it ceramic coated every year. Since doing the mods to the intake and exhaust, I’ve raced 2 Chevys with the 5.3 V8s, a pickup and a Tahoe. My Ranger will keep up with them but when they hit 105mph the Chevy engines crap out and that’s when my Ford pulls away. It up shifts from 3rd to 4th at 85mph and I’ve never ran out of 4th before letting off the gas at 110mph and then it slips into 5th. I normally set the cruise at 65 on the highway and 75 on the freeway unless we’re in MT and then I set the cruise at 85mph, running 2800rpm, then my mpg drops down to 19-20mpg. The rear differential is 3.55 gears. Every other 2 tone Ranger that is Silver is always painted gloomy grey, but I chose red metallic taken from the metallic red Mustangs from the mid 90s. During our snowy winter months I add 260# of sand bags over the rear axle for better traction. I run Cooper Discoverer A/T tires year round.

I had a customer ask me the other day "so if i replace my transmission, does my milage on my odometer change?" Then goes on to ask " how would somebody else know its a new transmission if i replaced it?" I have lost hope for humanity after that one.

23rd! People just don’t understand that PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE will keep most of these problems from happening! Letting thing go will only cost you MORE IN THE LONG RUN! I have 5 vehicles and two motorcycles. The motorcycles get serviced every spring. And the vehicles are taken in every 3000 miles or every 6 months to have the oil changed and checked out for wear and tear, and fixed if anything is needed to be done. Way cheaper that not doing the repairs, and have a HUGE MECHANICS BILL to pay. Think about it! Roger Fleury in Pierre South Dakota

It's sad on that last part that the door lock is made so poorly now that it can't hold up to regularly being used when that used to be the only option we had before key fobs were created

Michelin tires sometimes surprise me. Most of the time though we find them all dry rotted and they’ll only have a year or 2 on the tire and like 8 32nds tread.

The second video is a Beautiful truck. I'm about chrome wheels. Not black. I have 1998 Chevy Silverado Z71 single cab with 8ft box. I'm the second owner. You can have something like this if you take care of it. My truck has 230,000 miles on it. Guys want to buy it but I'll give $7500. Really?. Just add another $30,000 and might think about it. Dumbass people do stupid shit. Take care of your Fuckin vehicles. I'm a mechanic myself and all I can say is WTF when these vehicles come in.
