The Japanese never cease to amaze me, in a good sense of the word. There are so many interesting and beautiful things the Japanese can do that it is simply incomprehensible...
Greetings from Ca[e Town, South Africa. It's the first time I've watched something like this. I was completely in awe of the entire process. This is pure art. I hope it is always preserved as part of Japanese culture and not lost due to westernization.
I am so impressed by Japanese people who are generally very gifted and do such beautiful things with devotion, passion and love. Thank you for the time you wanted to show us how you work this beautiful object.
This craft is incredible and should be treasured! Everything this woman does is methodical, thought out, precise, and understood in its fullest (I also love her hair style too) What a great video showing this craft and how incredible this woman is

I'm more astonished by how she has so much hair despite her age. She looks like a 20s from the back.

@@MasterofPlay7 Noh masks are supposed to be visible and understandable from the back row of the house. They express emotion/identify the character on stage. Exaggeration is key to the dramatic portrayal.
Extraordinary skills! Deep respect to her and all other artists you are showing. Your videos take me to a wonderful distant world and bring me calmness. Thank you!

So much time, energy, patience, and skill goes into every single one of these noh masks that she makes. She does amazing work.
This video could've been a whole hour long documentary, and I would have watched every second of it. Always fascinating to watch an artist of such talent and skill work!

As a person who works with wood - I just got a reminder of how crude my work is by comparison; just stunning work. We in the west have forgotton the merits and blessings of concentrating on crafting just 1 thing, and becoming a true master at it.
