The title says “a vigorous manufacturing process”……… I watched Curtis over at CCE Manufacturing’s channel on utube when he painstakingly built a hydraulic cylinder from scratch. He built it meticulously with ultra high standards from beginning to end. I feel these guys here are like the “Saturday Night Live” version. Joking aside. If given the chance and equipment, these same guys right here and others in the same situation could out do most of the high skilled workers that are in this field around the world from developed nations. They just need a helping hand.
@77gravity11 ай бұрын
Likewise, CEE is a great channel, and this stuff is the opposite end of the spectrum from what Kurtis does - but I must give them credit for making something that works with such primitive equipment and questionable techniques. BUT - Several times I cringed at their complete lack of surface or material preparation - and I wouldn't trust those welds for a chair, let alone a high-load system like a pressure cylinder and the work it will be doing.

@asm_nop2 жыл бұрын
The equipment sure is old, but upgrading to computers and software would be so expensive for them. That said, a clean shop and some basic PPE would do wonders for them, and they could much more easily afford that. Dirty tools, dirty machines, dirty rags, loose-dirt floors. Abrasive dust everywhere. Loose clothing, open sandals, welding indoors with a garbage visor. Give these guys some overalls, boots, safety glasses, a solid floor, a fan to weld under, and a trough to wash things in, and their health and part quality will jump overnight.
