Mechanics Dream. DIY magnetic silicone tool tray. How to Color silicone.

I have seen a million thin silicone videos. Anyway, I tested what paints can color silicone and the results are in here.
When making this, I decided to make one that the Ukraines can use to repair those tanks laying around and maybe throw them back at the monsters that brought them.
My advice to help the Ukraine is to give to the International Red Cross, most direct route to aid.

Hi Martin, Awesome content, I love your videos! I am wanting to make a new seat for my motorcycle and want to use a gel type pad and better foam than what it has now and thought it might be an awesome project that could combine a few of the different things from your videos. Greetings from Maryland. This project sounds perfect for your needs. It is very squishy. And if you add the magnets, it would come off for cleaning and such. I don't have a motorcycle or I would certainly do this.

Hello! Awesome idea. I was thinking of trying this myself. I was wondering if you found the tray to be a bit too floppy? I was thinking of adding popsicle sticks or maybe encasing a wire cooking tray in the mold to make it more rigid. Hoping to hear your thoughts on that. 🤔 I 3d printed a mold to cover for Led lights and I wan t to use clear silicone but I need a pigment to make a clear color effect with the lights, what kind of pigment I need? 🤔

Hi! This is pretty cool! I have a question. I’m trying to cast a small bottle that needs a clear mold so I can use UV resin. Do you know of a way to make the mold without using cornstarch or something that makes it opaque? I was trying with the solvent so it will shrink, which I want, but am not getting a good cure on the inside (doing a sort of hollow inside). Looking forward to any ideas you have, thanks. I have never worked with resin. I have been watching this one guy who is pretty good but I don't remember the channel. I am sure you can get tons of help.

The flower was for fun. I don't remember how much, I didn't measure. Just add what looks right.

@@GoddessTara923 Cornstarch speeds up the cure time. It doesn't take much. It will thicken the mix so thin more than you think before adding the Cornstarch

Questions are always welcome. You wish to use mica to color your silicone. I have shown you how to use Acrylic paint. Mica may flake away on the surface if not put in a carrier oil, so this becomes more than I can teach. Your best option is Acrylic paint. As you see, I have deep, rich colors. Acrylic is an oil based thermoplastic.

Oil based Enamel. Oil based Acrylic. Any oil paint will do.
