If I'm not mistaken, "Patris Cybernetica" is High Gothic for "Robot-Daddy". Also, the rule for the "Monstrous" sub-type says "No model that is not also monstrous may join a unit that contains a Monstrous model," which is a dumb way to word it, but the concept is that a unit that contains 1+ models with the Monstrous sub-type can only be joined by models that are also Monstrous - it doesn't go the other way; if it did, the rule would say something like "nor can a model with the Monstrous Sub-Type join a unit that doesn't include one or models with the Monstrous Sub-type." In essence, monstrous units can only be joined by monstrous models; non-monstrous units CAN be joined by monstrous models. Also, if a Legion has Mechanicum as Battle Brothers, you can put a buffed-up Praetor in a unit of allied Scyllax, which is surprisingly good.

You forgot to name the mechanicum unique reaction - Scornful Fire, and you also didn’t mention its most salient feature. The mechanicum units that can react because of this reaction fire FIRST before the unit that caused the reaction, potentially killing it before it can fire, or at least reducing the amount of incoming fire

Overall thoughts of the Mech box from a Mech player. - Less than 800 points per box. - The Thallax are the units you’d typically want. - This means you still need to spend more on the more popular units from Forgeworld - It’ll be a long time until we see full Mech armies unless people invest their money, which I don’t see happening. - People will get very excited about the models but it won’t really go anywhere without more plastic units. - Lots of Thallax spam is inevitable. - The big picture of the range moving to plastic is very good.

Great video chaps and some brilliant insight for folks trying to combat them. I must say as legion player it seems theres simply nothing you can do vs some mech builds. Obnoxious/broken rules and units, thanks for giving us some hope. Time to load up on some Dreadnoughts and watch them get blown up lol.

You put on the building a mech force thing that only the named charactees are the discernable difference rules wise for them.. however Loyalists gain access to Arcuitor Magisterium as an elite choice as well (multiple if they are one of the techno arcans.
