This was the exact premise of my last campaign. That the blood wars was ended by the armies of the abyss, commanded by the resurrection of Therisdun. The players faced with the destruction of their realm by the army’s of their he abyss, had to “hack” the ranks of the primus and seal off the prime realm from all space and time. Effectively throwing a wrench 🔧 into the cog of time and space.

Portals are very useful to Primus during the Modron March every, 3000+ years if I recall

I am making an artificer sent from Mechanus to bring order back to the world I am about to play in-being like some Terminator trope. How he will do that is unify the several “steampunk” like safe havens sparsely strewn throughout the world (perhaps through powerful means of attunement). Most of the world was destroyed due to “previous players actions”, and that’s where I come in.

I'm going to try playing D&D for the first time this week. Watching your videos has given me some ideas for some characters I'd like to role. What do you think of a Kenku Arcane Trickster who learns Bladesinger from watching elves perform it, and is able to perfectly replicate the movements and sounds?

I have liked and commented!.I continue to serve the orderly dungeoncast! Hmm...I do not like these modrons (No idea if that's how it's spelt) I can not simply act as a cog in their machine. I must express my passion... MY PASSION FOR THE LORDS OF KNOWLEDGE AND LAUGHTER!!! However I will not be marching into this realm of gears to smite them, for they currently pose no threat to the almighty Will and the glorious Brian. Nay I have bigger threats to worry about. Such as those damnable demons in the abyss. I'm still readying my crusade against yeenoghu.that overgrown hyena will cackle in fear (fun fact that laugh hyenas are known for is something they do when afraid) when I bring down my wrath and instill the fear of my two lords in him. As for the modrons, as long as they stay out of the way of knowledge and laughter, then I shall not bring into their realm my passion for the greatest deities the cosmos has ever known. Maybe the mechanus machine is also responsible for the portals on the interior of the crystal sphere that open and close all the time.

My research mostly came from planescape. The players could not lie, the plane simply does not allow it. They all spoke in common, the plane simply translated everything to be understood so that translation would not cause chaos. Illusion spells simply fail and wild magic does not happen. And we used the law of averages.
