I have these on my twin hs4s... and love it.... it works great and looks just right! I put helicoils in my carbs so I just use the bolts

These look great and in principle work well but when fitted to a single HS4 I had fitment issues due to the Speedo cable fowling the filter and binding. Just something to bear in mind if you want one for this setup. Probably works fine on a twin HS2 setup due to the shorter inlet manifold thus not being as tight to the Speedo cable. I've also read online many others having this issue with this kit. 👍

It sounds like your engine is tilted too far back, with the carb too close to the bulkhead. Try an adjustable top steady and this will allow you more space. We often see this on 998 cars with a 1275 installed.

@@MEDEngineeringTechVideosit's a 998cc with the standard dog bone engine steady? So it's sitting in its correct position.

Try an adjustable top engine steady, it will give you more clearance. The 1275 top bar is 1/2" longer than the 998!@@OnlineHousehusband

The late great Peter Baldwin commented on how effective your stub stacks were when he set my car up in 2016. How would stubstacks compare with your 2-1/2" ram pipes on the the same engine?

Without doing a back-to-back test, it's tricky to know for sure, but we find the 2.5" ram pipes work especially well on a historic race engine. For road use, we'd recommend a filter.
